One of the very authentic Italian restaurants in Winter Park. The pizza and Sangria are famous. Sauces are listed with VPN, not every Italian restaurant has it. Service is awesome, atmosphere is nice too!

This is such a wonderful establishment to eat at and the food and the service is fantastic.Especially the waiter Craig Taylor. He's funny, professional and good at what he does. He was absolutely the best.

My wife and I ate here last week because we heard it was good italian food. It's a quaint restaurant tucked in a shopping center off of Aloma Ave.. For not being on Park Ave we thought this would be somewhat less expensive but to our surprise the menu was quite pricey. We started off with the mussels which were very good. Our entrees were not impressive, my wife had the eggplant and I had the chicken parmigiana. My wife did not like her eggplant cause it was undercooked and very hard although the breading looked burnt. My chicken was just ok but definitely not worth another try. Their libations consist of wine and beer only which are also quite pricey. We may try visiting another time but will definitely not order what we did.

For starters we have been frequenting F & D for a very long time... we LOVE the manager Kristin; she is awesome as everything! Another plus is the atmosphere and the servers (specifically Craig, Dakota, Bianca & Gloriana and John the bartender), they all are Awesome!!!!! As for the Chefs, they are absolutely, absolutely hit or miss especially the Head Chef/GM Michael tonight! It depends upon what night you come if you get food that is good. Not sure if he's on an ego trip or what. He doesn't take customer complaints well at all and refuses to speak with them by saying he's too busy. We ordered 2 dinners of chicken marsala, the sauce was like drinking balsamic vinegar from the bottle!!! We know because we use balsamic vinegar ALOT!!! This was not the Marsala sauce that we have had before here nor have had ever! We both have had this dish here before and a friend of mine and I have had this dish here a few times and was never like this. People pay good money for good food and leave good tips for good service. Our total bill is normally over $100 for just the 2 of us! Please, Please have the Winter Park F & D Italian Kitchen be consistent with their food they serve, this is what bring customers back and keeps you open!!! This food inconsistency has been going on for a very long time and we had thought about never coming back but because we think so highly of Kristin, we did not do that. We also frequent Armando's (WP) and Panullo's (WP) which we have never so much as had any complaints with!!!

Short reason for bad review: a cockroach and manager who wouldn’t bother to take my call.
I ate here today with my partner for our date night. We wanted to give this place a shot out of the dozens of restaurants for the Bite30 prix fixe menu. We thought it was going pretty well, we got sangrias which were nice. Ordered the meatball and beef carpaccio appetizers, both were good. The entrees came out super fast though, we didn’t even have a chance to really eat our appetizers before they brought them out, so it feels like there’s a timing issue there. I wouldn’t want our food just sitting and waiting under a heat lamp either, but our table just ended up crowded and awkward.
We ordered the Italian trio and shrimp scampi entrees. The shrimp scampi was actually pretty good. The Italian trio was alright, the chicken parmigiana was pretty overcooked and dry, and the lasagna was distastefully salty. But we were having a good time and didn’t want to fuss.
The creme brûlée cheesecake was a nice dessert to finish the meal. We ordered some cannolis to go, and our waitress brought out a to go bag for our entrees. Before we paid, I noticed a cockroach climbing on our to-go bag. It went inside the bag after we put our food in. I’m not really one to make a scene in public, so once our waitress came back, I told her right away. I took out all of our leftovers from the bag and she could clearly see the roach crawling inside of it. She apologized quietly and said she would get us a new bag.
Now, I’m no stranger to customer service. I’ve been in their shoes before. You would think a manger would visit the table and apologize for a literal bug crawling on their packaging. But no, the waitress returned and gave us our check and just didn’t really acknowledge it further. I wasn’t expecting a comped meal or anything, just a more professional response at least.
We paid and left. It was a little busier by that time and trying to be a kind person, I figured I would just call them when we got home and explain the situation. But I was told the manager was busy and they’d call me back. Ok, fine. I called an hour later and was told the manager would call me the next day. Hm, that feels even more unprofessional now. You would think if a customer called you twice after they just ate there that something was genuinely wrong. I wasn’t mean over the phone to the employee who took my call. I just calmly asked for a manager with my Ps and Qs. I didn’t want to explain the situation to them because I believed this to be a manager and customer conversation.
So I decided to write this review instead to let paying customers know where they are dining. We all work hard for our money and I thought F&D would be a good place to spend it. I hate regretting things like this, but I do regret eating here and will not be back. And I will be letting my friends and family know of our experience.

I never write reviews but everything was so great I really feel inclined to do so. When we walked in we were greeted immediately which nowadays is very rare. My mother is bound to a wheelchair and the staff made her feel very comfortable. Christen accommodated us with seating and made sure my mom was doing alright throughout our visit. Just that alone won us over because it’s very difficult for us to find places for her to have her chair not be in the way or feel like we are being a burden. She made us feel very welcomed. Food was excellent. I had the chicken piccata and it was amazing!! My boyfriend had the meatballs and a honey pizza and he said both were delicious. My mom had a vegan pizza and she said it was one of the best she’s ever had. Vivian took care of us and she was an angel. Everyone there was so nice to us and they all looked happy to be working there. Thank you. Kindness goes a long way. You have new regulars in us. See you soon!

We've been coming to this location for years. Food is excellent and portions are worth the price. The manager Kristin is FABULOUS! She always stops to say hello to my husband and I and remembers what we order to drink. We came on Friday night and it was very busy but the nice young lady hosting sat us promptly. We had a newer server this time named Gloriana. She was so sweet and attentive. She gave us really nice suggestions of this special menu to try and they did not disappoint! We always get excellent service no matter who waits on us. We love F&D and we recommend it to everyone we know!

This is our Second time coming to this restaurant. Our first time was good our server Craig really did make our quite well. The second time was a complete disaster. Our server Gloriana was not attentive, and seem that she didn’t know what she was doing. Our food was terrible. First we had calamari they were burnt, with a terrible taste that resembled over used frying oil. For our main dish my husband had a shrimp scampi and it was super spicy and lacked any depth of flavor, I had a lasagna and it was cold and honestly did not taste good. We were so dissatisfied and disappointed with our serves that we end our dinner early. After this experience we will not be returning to this restaurant. Be cautious and save your self the $150 bucks for dinner and check out another Italian spot.

Small and cozy Italian place. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The portions are large, honestly enough to share or anticipate bringing home leftovers. The quality and taste of the food is fantastic. Parking can be a bit hectic in this shopping plaza, but worth the time trying to find a space. Highly recommend and they have a regular visitor for life.

Very nice quiet setting for a lunch. The server was very good.
I really liked the pasta in the shrimp fettuccine. It had to be made at the restaurant. It was really good. The best I've had in a very long time.
The chocolate List cake dessert was excellent.
We will definitely be visiting again .

Visited yesterday for the first time and tried numerous dishes. The Zucchini Frites were an entire strip of zucchini friend with breading. I wasn’t a fan and I would have preferred them to be like Zucchini fries. The garlic bread was enough to feed a small army and its garlic bread, very tasty without as much “garlic” as there is cheese and bread, good nonetheless. The Caesar salad is very light with Caesar dressing, my wife would have preferred that, I would have liked a little more flavor and dressing. We had the Queen Bee pizza that was a little spicy and good, 6.8/10. The Grouper Picatta was the best dish, a little more sauce than I’d prefer (took over the entire plate) but it was cooked great and the veggie, asparagus w/ artichoke was very tasty. The atmosphere is very nice and the service was good, I can tell there are some rooms for improvement with orders/drinks, etc. Overall would recommend for an easy pop in. The bar setup is amazing! Made me want to have a drink. Always trust someone who reviews restaurants that’s just enough overweight to make a good determination! That which I am. Hope you enjoyed the honest review.

Great customer service, a clean establishment & the food was served in a timely manner. It was cooked in a brick oven & w/fresh ingredients. Idk how the greens taste but the sweet vinaigrette dressing that came with it was thick like a paste and had a unique taste. The steak was tender the mushrooms weren’t soggy but there was no seasoning on anything. The crust was crispy but burnt. I’d give it a 7/10.
