Went here with my girlfriend for brunch. There was no host for 15 mins to seat us for our reservation. We made a reservation for outdoor dining, but the host took us inside. When asking to sit outside the host gave us a look first before she looked in her system to see if there were any seats when there were clearly seats left. We then got a table in the sun when there were other tables empty the whole time we were sitting there. We got the menu for food but had to ask for the drinks menu. Then it took 20 minutes to bring our drinks and over an hour for our food (very simple things like ceasar salad and french toast). The ceasar salad had the littlest dressing I’ve ever seen in my life. To add chicken for the salad it was an additional $10 but they gave us maybe 4 small pieces of chicken. On top of that the bread that came with the salad was so hard it hurt my teeth. I ordered pecan bacon and they forgot it, I had to ask for it. Then there was no pecans to be found. Also another waiter had to come and serve us for missing items etc. Overall the customer service was really bad. We noticed everybody around us was getting attended in a timely matter and we could not help but think it was due to the fact that we were a queer couple and we hate to assume that. Definitely not worth my money or time.

So happy to have the Alfond Inn as part of our community and it is a great place for out of towners to come and stay. Food today was good, service is historically slow and spotty. Ambience is great and helps make up for service and sometimes iffy meals. I am an alumni so I do like to support the Alfond. Spa is great!!! Outdoor patio is great when weather is nice.

I do really enjoy it here and overall have had pleasant experiences, as I have been probably 10 times.

This most recent time I went, however, my experience was not great. I waited at the hostess table to check in for approx 10 minutes before the hostess appeared, with several other individuals waiting in line to be checked in. Then, my friend and I had booked a reservation and we had also stated we would need a high chair for her little guy. They put our reservation right next to the live music, in fact the closest table to the music (???) which makes no sense with a baby that needs a high chair. Then they couldn't accommodate us at a table farther away from the music inside or put us outside because everything was reserved (although we did have a reservation...). We had to switch to the open seating outside the restaurant in the bar area which we were VERY fortunate on a busy Sunday brunch rush to find a table. I'm just a little surprised by this lack of attention to detail and lack in service at Hamilton's when it is usually much better.

I still recommend going but would point out that you may run into a snag such as ours!

Decided on this place after a couple recommendations. Was pleasantly impressed. Had the scallop and shrimp, wife had the salmon - both we perfectly cooked and seasoned wonderfully. Shrimp were ENORMOUS! We were served by two waitresses who were both highly attentive. Even ran into the former Senator Bill Nelson.

Located in a swanky art-deco hotel in the heart of Winter Park, this place is definitely a gem. Highly recommended…

I went for my 40th birthday. We enjoyed magical dining. The shrimp was huge and meaty. It was extremely fresh and well cooked. The scallops were well cooked and seasoned beautifully. The salad was worth eating in one full swoop. The drink wasn't the best though. It was extremely sweet. The atmosphere and service was welcoming and clean.

We went with another couple for Magical Dining and although $40 a person is a great value, the experience was just fair. We had a reservation, but had to wait about 25 minutes. Once seated, our server didn’t greet us for quite sometime. When she finally did, she said she was waiting for wine glasses to get washed. She then wanted to take our food order but we said we preferred to wait until we had our wine. We eventually got our wine, placed our orders and asked for bread. About 15 mins went by and we asked again, she mumbled something about waiting on our salads. She had on a mask, spoke very quietly and didn’t have much of a personality. Honestly, it wasn’t very enjoyable to interact with her. The Caesar salad was okay/pretty small, the shrimp and scallops were nice, the salmon was good but could have been better if the potatoes it came with were roasted or seasoned vs just plain and boiled. There were 2 steak orders, one was good and the other was a bad cut and was way undercooked. The fries looked like they were frozen. Dessert was okay…just overall, the meal and service was (sadly) a letdown. It felt like a hotel restaurant and we never felt that way previously. I hope it was just an off night because we love the location and the ambiance there.

Unfortunately I chose to go here for Sunday brunch (9/22 @10:45) to celebrate my wife’s birthday with my family. We had the worst dining experience here.

We sat outside and after 15-20 mins of being seated I rang the restaurant to see if they would send our server out as we were yet to be offered any water or menus.

We ordered 3 cocktails, avocado toast and the breakfast bread. The food arrived, it was fine. No issues there…. No drinks yet though.

We ordered our food, 4 main dishes. The server came back to inform me they had run out of fries!… seeing as a good amount of the dishes come with fries that a surprise. Very disappointing, instead I had breakfast potatoes.. food was fine. Nothing amazing.

But here is the problem. Still no drinks.
Our 3 cocktails too 1 hour. In that time I’d requested to speak to the manager, she came out and was sorry to hear of the awful experience we were having for my wife’s birthday.

She gifted us a bottle of ‘champagne’. It was Prosecco. The worst we had ever tried nobody drank it, it was completely flat.

Eventually the drinks arrived as we were half way through our food.

Overall it was crap. A real disappointment to try to celebrate a birthday.
There are thousands of brunch spots in the area, where we would have had a much better time and could have had multiple drinks.

I won’t come here again and I’ll be sure to advise others against it too

Beautiful restaurant inside Alfond Inn, but the food was a bit of a disappointment. We came for brunch with a reservation, and we were seated right away even when our while party hadn't arrived, which I appreciated. However, the avocado toast seemed under seasoned. And I'm not sure if the kitchen knows what a frittata is. It seemed like my frittata was just an omelette with wedge potatoes and a bunch of arugula salad piled on top. Service was friendly, and prices were reasonable. I'd maybe come back to try the eggs benedict.

Parking: You can get valet parking validated at the restaurant.

Delicious food. The atmosphere was a little loud during dinner time, but the food and service make up for it. Highly recommend.

I want to start by saying that this is an absolutely STUNNING venue, it’s the perfect place to take lots of pictures with friends/family. But it pretty much ends there. We went for a friend’s birthday brunch and there were around 8/9 of us. Our server was an older gentlemen and he seemed to have a bad attitude and would hardly come by our table. He flat out told one of our friends “no” when she order a chicken Cesar salad, he basically told her she didn’t want to get the salad because it would “take too long, I know my kitchen.” He said this while two of our other friends had place an order for a side Cesar, which was terrible by the way. The croutons were rock hard and there wasn’t nearly enough dressing. I ordered the soup of the day, a tomato basil, and I love a tb soup so I was excited to try it, and was incredibly disappointed when it was practically lukewarm, chunky and lumpy, and overall just not good, you’ll get a better bowl of tomato basil soup at nature’s table tbh. The breakfast I got was nothing to write home about either, the eggs, sausage, and sourdough bread were all okay, the potatoes stole the show, they were probably the best part. The truffle fries were okay, they honestly tasted like they had been sitting in the window for a while and our other friends felt the same way, one of our friends ordered some tacos and said they were mediocre at best. The kicker was that the mimosas are THIRTEEN dollars PER glass. The worst was when we needed to close out. Our server didn’t even ask if we were wanted the checks separate, so he had to go back and separate everyone and between the time it took us to get our checks and pay, we had waited almost an additional half hour, it was incredibly disappointing. They brought the birthday girl some key lime dessert for her birthday, she said it was actually really good, it was a very sweet gesture from our server, but overall he was very inattentive and the service was poor.

Had a friend girl catch up date here and it did not disappoint. Google only allows you to give 5 stars, but they deserve 10. We got an opportunity to enjoy the Orlando Magical Dining Experience here and enjoyed an amazing 3-course meal. Our server, Dylan, he explained the offerings to us, he was patient and attentive. If his management team sees this, Dylan is a gem. He exemplifies customer service and is one of the reasons I wish I could give this review more stars. It was my first time here and it won’t be my last. The ambiance was such a vibe and it was nice and quiet, easy to converse for sure. Now, let’s talk about the food!!! Mmm mmmm GOOD. I cleaned every plate. The salmon in the crab cream sauce was DIVINE!! The salmon was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The potatoes were crispy and ohhhh that cream sauce - listen, I had an experience indeed. The dessert was the pièce de résistance - it melted in your mouth and was very satisfying. I implore you to give Hamilton’s Kitchen a try. You will not be disappointed. I can’t wait to go back and try their brunch I keep hearing about.
