Our Valentine's dinner experience at Hannibals/Chez Vincent was nothing short of disappointing. Despite my boyfriend's reservation, our evening started off on the wrong foot. Upon arriving, the hostess brushed me off not once, but twice, before acknowledging our presence. It was disheartening, to say the least. As we were finally seated, the service didn't improve. Our server treated us with a dismissive attitude, as if we were children. (We are a rather young couple, but we both have well-paying jobs and have enough money.) The prefixed menu, which was not advertised anywhere online, left us with no choice but to stay and endure the underwhelming meal to avoid a cancellation fee.The food itself was a letdown. Bland flavors, clearly frozen vegetables, and a hefty price tag of $80 per person for a meal we wouldn't have chosen otherwise. The filet mignon was overcooked for me and undercooked for my boyfriend. The seafood pastry was subpar, and the salad was simply sad to look at.To add insult to injury, the lack of attention from the staff was glaring. I sat with an empty water cup for an extended period, while nearby tables received prompt service and were provided with water to pour themselves. No one bothered to check on us, despite our server having only a few tables to attend to at the time. The only silver lining was the unexpected dessert, which wasn't listed on the menu. But even that couldn't salvage the overall dismal experience.Hannibals failed to meet even the most basic standards of hospitality and culinary excellence. Our $170 meal felt like an overpriced snack, and I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to anyone. What was meant to be a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner together at a fancier restaurant than we’re used to turned out to be a major disappointment and quite frankly a disaster.

9/27/23 Attended a Educational dinner last nite. Obviously it was over booked! Thank God, for our host who was awesome! He walked me through the financial presentation upstairs and escorted me downstairs to the cellar where our venue was being hosted. Other colleagues were told to go to the back door! It was raining and so much construction going on... Who does that? How disrespectful! The food was very flavorful and the svc. was great.

What a sweet spot to be! Quaint and beautiful settings! As a local resident in Winter Park, I have to confess that I have forgotten about Hannibal's On The Square... Last evening we decided to have a drink there and the place is just wonderful. We sat by the bar and our waitress was just so friendly and attentive! She was adorable and checked on us frequently. Food was delicious!!! We ordered a lamb burger and a brie cheese appetizer only as we had dinner before visiting the bar/restaurant. Will definitely revisit soon on an evening when they have live music. Love this place!

High priced for what you get. Chicken crepe almost $30 and quite bland. Dinner companion had fish which was so over-seasoned it was virtually inedible. For excellent French cuisine, try Dovecote downtown.

The bartender Sean went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy with our options for our event. He was knowledgeable and kind, as opposed to the typical cocky that’s accompanied by the knowledge, which was a breath of fresh air. The owner is the chef of the restaurant and he was also walking in checking on people. All in all was a good experience.

There is a reason why this was the only restaurant where we could get a reservation the night before Rollin's graduation. Food and service were sloppy at best. Cocktails were not well made and the presentation and quality of food were the worst that I have had in Winter Park for last 4 years.

I had come here once before and enjoyed my meal well enough to return again last night. However, this will be my last time dining here. The only compliment I can make is about the meal itself, which was solid. Every other facet of my experience was disappointing. The Negroni was especially weak despite its inflated price; this has been a recurring issue for me and other friends drinking here. Yet, the lowlight of the meal was the service. Our server was the most inattentive staff member I have ever experienced! After she initially tried to rush our order, she then simply vanished. It seemed that her friends were dining there since she spent the majority of her time chatting with folks at one table while ignoring us (and others) completely. After we finished our meal, we waited an inordinate amount of time to receive the bill … and even longer to pay it. Thankfully, another team member eventually noticed we were motioning to pay and got her attention. She brought the bill, and although I immediately placed my card on the table for her to process as she stood there, she disappeared once again. Some 40 minutes after finishing our meal, we were able to pay and leave. Paying this waitress to socialize while ignoring customers is unacceptable, and I blame management as much as her for this poor level of service. With other restaurants in the area, there is no reason to return.

We celebrated last night at Hannibal's & it had been several years since I've been. Several yrs ago this place was amazing but a lot has changed over the years.I'll start with the Pros:- Atmosphere is amazing and intimate, space and decor makes for a warm and sultry grown appeal- Live jazz music/ pianist made for a nice vibe- Location is wonderful and the service was accommodating but not specialCons- Food portions are incredibly small for the price (I ordered the scallops $31 for a serving of 3)- Group of 14 of us, every single plate with the "rice pilaf" was served hard, crunchy and inedible rice - not sure what happened but it was visibly overcooked but yet still served :(- There is a thick white sauce (not sure if it's a signature sauce) that comes doused on every meal, from the mussels to the scallops and even a base for the spinach dip - doesn't really appear to make sense or even compliment the dishes- The quality of the food has certainly diminished over the yrs.I would recommend for atmosphere and drinks but the kitchen/ menu is dated, unappetizing & needs an overhaul.

The ambience in the place was great along with the pianist ( his voice was very good). All with the exception of the food which made me very sick. Food took more than an hour to come back. The food was horrible, salmon overcooked, potatoes tasted like it came out of a box. Rice was hard and cruncy. Everyone had the same white sauce no matter what was ordered. Food tasted like hospital food???.

We saw them at the farmers market yesterday. They were so lovely to take the time to teach my kids some words in French to go with our French studies this week. Then we enjoyed a Chocolat croissant. it was so delicious! We will be in to the restaurant soon. We are so blessed to have people in our community that love teaching our kids new things.

The most horrible experience I’ve had in the last 10 years! From service to food. To say that our party celebrated very special birthday was disappointed, is not to say anything! I would never go back! HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED to go to this place to anyone in the area. Disgrace to food community in the winter park/park ave area.
