My first time here by myself before I start my day at work and the service is literally so fast that within 20 minutes I was done eating and the food was wonderful!!!!

When we arrived to the restaurant, we checked in to see what the wait time and were told about 15 to 20 minutes, which was pretty accurate. Very efficient with getting folks seated. Servers were very attentive and refilling water coffees, and anything that you needed. Very friendly staff.
After we ordered our food, this is where I would say the issues. I have to say that I was a bit disappointed in the time that it took to get our food after ordering. I noticed our server had taken about orders from about five or six tables which good to not have to wait if you’re ready, but I only saw maybe one order come out during that time frame My concern was whether or not our food would be hot and fresh enough. The scrambled eggs were hot at first but got cold quickly. The bacon was warm, but the pancakes were slightly warm. I ordered the #7 , which was a very good deal and the other person in my party order the French toast combo. I got a taste of the French toast and it was excellent. It of course was also not completely hot but palatable.
My comment would be if it’s going to take that long for you to get your food from the time you order they need to figure out a way to keep it warm and hot at all times throughout the entire meal
I felt like I had to rush through my meal because it wasn’t as hot as it should have been.

My family and I really enjoy the menu at Johnny's Diner, and have found the staff friendly, the food fresh and tasty, clean restaurant, and we often run into our neighbors there. It's family owned and we're happy to call it our favorite local, casual restaurant.
They also serve delicious soups, including chili. I do wish they had a schedule for soups - and chili especially, because you never know when they'll offer what recipe.
