Treats here were delicious & so visually appealing! ? Ordered an Ube Cheesecake, Strawberry Shortcake, Raspberry Lychee Macaroon, & Mango Peach Mousse Tart. I didn’t care too much for the shortcake, macaron, or mousse tart but the Ube Cheesecake definitely scratched my Ube & cheesecake fix. The only thing about the cheesecake is, it will color your teeth purple while eating so make sure not to get on your clothes.

Peeps at the counter were very helpful & patient while we made our order as this was our first tome ordering from this bakery. Received our order almost instantly & went on our way.

Atmosphere is a 3/5 stars because it was very cramped inside the bakery. I understand an amazing bakery like this will have many customers but the seating was limited, so if you’d like to eat in, you may need to wait for a spot.

I normally go to the location on Orlando Ave, but I like how this location isn’t in a busy plaza. The pastries here are just as good as the Orlando Ave one. I recently tried the melon cream puff, and strawberry matcha mousse tart from this location. The melon cream puff was surprisingly delicious! Don’t get me wrong, the majority of their pastries are delicious, but their seasonal cream puffs can be hit or miss. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised at how much melon flavor there was in the cream puff. Definitely one of their best seasonal cream puffs. The strawberry matcha mousse tart was also really delicious with the perfect amount of matcha and strawberry flavor. My favorite drink is the pistachio latte, but I get it without the espresso and use oat milk, so I basically just order pistachio milk. It’s delicious!

This is the perfect dessert place for me!
I've never actually been inside but I ordered a couple treats via Uber Eats on a lazy night and wow! I find most American desserts way too sweet and given the name I gave this place a shot. The two desserts I had were perfectly balanced and not too sweet at all. And perfect portion size.

Whenever we have a family get-together or party we always grab a box or two full of sweets!
It's a small store-front, but there is a few areas for seating if you wanted to dine in. It gives a clean cozy atmosphere, so it's nice for a tea date/meet-up; we normally do take-out though. The store is easy to get to and plenty of parking available in the plaza.
I've always had great customer service here, though it can be busy so be ready for that!
Food wise, I haven't found a desert I haven't liked. Hands-down though, anything ube has been fantastic there! And my partner swears by their New York cheesecake. My only suggestion is that they make their cheesecake slices bigger again-- I have seen a decrease in size in the past year.
Pricing; it is a bit on the pricer side, so not an everyday treat in my opinion. But definitely a treat-yo-self type of deal.
I highly recommend at least trying Light On The Sugar just once! Can't wait to go back.

After reading the reviews and looking at the Instagram, I was so excited to try the sweets and my expectations were not met. The staff was unfriendly and seemingly unpatient, not even a smile on their faces. The cashier that helped me had emo-like makeup and was not friendly. I work in customer service, and this is place lacks all qualities of customer service friendly. As there were times when waiting, I would see the employees on their phones rather than doing their job. This said, the pastries was not worth the price, one of the pastries I got was the lychee raspberry macaroon which I expected to be refreshing but instead it was super sweet and the raspberries had a few black speckles (not sure what it was) probably wasn't washed properly. Not recommending this place to anyone especially with this poor service.

First time ordering delivery from this location, it was phenomenal. Packaging, time efficiency, quantity, and flavor were all incredible. I will totally be ordering from here again, if you haven’t yet TRY IT! You will NOT be disappointed. I’m going to share this place with friends and family. Might even go again tomorrow. Yum!

My grandma and I usually go to get their strawberry shortcake and cheese cake and we’re used to the tepid and less than friendly service, but this time they gave us a strawberry shortcake w spoiled strawberries. We didn’t see it till we got home and we didn’t go back bc we knew they were just gonna be rude about its. I attached a pic. Take your chances I guess but don’t expect friendly service.
