New General is a VIBE y’all. We’ve been coming here for years, and the food offerings, quality and portions are always fantastic. My personal go-to is the Buddha Bowl and I add chicken to it. It’s one of the healthiest things you can get near Park Ave and absolutely delicious. The service has always been great and the interior is super cute and modern. They have grown very popular in the past couple of years, so I might recommend stopping by during off hours since they are a fast-casual restaurant and don’t take reservations or anything. We’ve people study and work from here, too. Come check them out and support local. You will love it.

I went on weekend evening and really enjoyed this place, not too crowded. It has a modern vibe, and although the inside is a bit small, the outdoor seating was very pleasant for this season. The drinks and food were great as well.

The only disappointing part was an interaction with one of the staffs at the counter. When I asked for a utensil, she said no before I even finished my sentence. After I repeated my request, she said yes but shook her head as if she was annoyed. When I asked if something was wrong, she ignored me. I had simply ordered my drink and food and politely asked for a utensil. I would recommend improving customer service/communication because she didn’t seem very polite to some of the other customers either.

Absolutely no parking for this restaurant. Did not go in.

When I first walked in I didn't know what to expect as far as food but was optimistic. The servers were delightful and super helpful. I didn't care for the decor and vibes but it wasn't exactly my scene so that's ok. The coffee is good and the food exceeded all expectations. Definitely recommend for anyone in the area for a quick bite!

I have to say this is the best overall coffee shop/cafe I have been to. Today was our first visit here. The staff was absolutely wonderful, answered all my questions with patience and were very knowledgeable. I love that the ingredients used are with intention and health conscious. The food was very flavorful and the coffee was the best I’ve had. I have been to many (many…) coffee shops and this was all around the best. Thank you for having not only great food and coffee but amazing service. It’s hard to come by.

I recently visited The General Café in Winter Park for the first time, and I was really impressed! The ambience was beautiful — warm lighting, lush plants everywhere, and a cozy, welcoming vibe. The person who took my order was super kind and had such fun Halloween spirit 🎃! She was also very informative about the menu and offered helpful suggestions about what we could add or change.

I researched the place because it was new to me and I come here in Park Avenue often and saw the owner was walking around, so I expected her to come around and greet guests or check on their experiences, but she didn’t — which felt a little odd. That’s honestly the only reason I wouldn’t give a full five stars.

I ordered the Vegan Brekkie Sandwich, and while I loved the flavors (especially that spicy sauce!), the House-Made Lentil Sausage was a bit dry on its own. The sauce definitely made up for it though. The Seasoned Potato Wedges were absolutely amazing, and the Drip Coffee (Black) was smooth and flavorful. My boyfriend got the Shroom Avo Toast, and it felt as if it just tasted all the same I couldn’t taste the difference between the shrooms and the avocado.

Overall, I really loved the atmosphere and the experience. I’d definitely come back — maybe next time I’ll add some Extra Avocado to my Vegan Brekkie Sandwich. 🌿☕️

Love the space, the location, having natural plants and the most important for me, they offer filtered water. Not giving a greater score because the pancakes are served cold on a consistent basis. I usually go there around the time they open, where there's no rush and therefore no excuse to deliver them piping hot as it should be.

Stopped in for an iced Earl gray with a splash of milk and a pump of lavender. The first time the barista filled a glass with ice, then 2/3s milk a slash of green tea and pump of lavender. The second time it was a cup filled with ice and milk and MANY pumps of lavender and no tea at all. Making Earl Gray is very basic. Not sure what was so hard. Hard pass the next time I am in Winter Park.
