Wow! This small mom & pop cafe is underrated! I've been meaning to come to Heart of Jerusalem for a while, and it does not disappoint. Everything tastes so fresh and perfectly spiced. Plus, how can you say no to heart-shaped falafel? The only slight improvement would be for service. A few times, the waiter was walking too fast and would say things in passing rather than address you directly to ask how everything was.

1st visit last week, ordered the salad bowl with chicken & gyro meat with a side of tzatziki. The salad was very fresh & chicken deliciously tender. I highly recommend this restaurant if you like Mediterranean food, healthy food & fresh ingredients! The owner waited on us & he was kind & helpful as we made our choice. Will definitely return!

Heart of Jerusalem is one of the best places I’ve eaten. Their Chicken Kabobs platter and the Crispura Fries were so delicious. I ordered both separately for takeout and they were beautifully plated, hot, and well seasoned. The falafels were shaped into mini hearts and it was so cute I almost didn’t want to eat it! The restaurant has a nice home feel to it with decorations you can stare at while you wait. The music is good too.

The food was delicious! We had Ultimate platters with and without rice, and the babaganouch appetizer. The babaganouch was a little salty but still good. The platters were delicious! The Jerusalem rice was so good! The foodis so fresh (and thus takes a little time to make it). We'll be back!

Chicken salad missed the mark. If the price was a little lower, it could work out. Prepare to wait at least 15 minutes for food when when empty.

Utterly delicious. Meat (including chicken breast) was succulent and beautifully spiced. Falafel, hummus and babagnoush were tasty and complemented the meat beautifully. One of the best middle eastern meals I have had including in the Middle East itself. My mom who seeks out this cuisine wherever she can find it declared it to be "outstanding, fresh and with generous portions and friendly service."
My husband and I enjoy Heart of Jerusalem every week — it’s one of my favorites in the area! Though I normally like trying new things, after I had the Ultimate Platter, I’ve not gotten anything else as my meal there. It’s so comforting and delicious every time! Also, the owner is absolutely delightful. We are so grateful to have this wonderful place in our neighborhood!Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free options
