Today I called to ask if the store sells beer for takeout. Around 8:04 pm, the staff said they do offer takeout and asked about the store's closing time. When I drove to the store, I asked the staff if I could buy beer to take home. The staff told me to go to the store next door. I was confused about why I had to go to the next store. The staff told me to press the button at the door and then go out. So I went back inside to order beer to take home, but the staff walked straight to the machine to take orders and didn't look at me or ask anything. I ended up leaving the store and called again to ask, but the staff hung up while I was still speaking. I called again and they didn't answer. When I called once more, they answered and said they never said takeout was available. If I couldn't order for takeout, why would I go to the store? I wonder if the staff was being racist, seeing that I am Asian. There was only one staff member at the bar, working on Saturday the 27th at 8:04 pm. I hope the store owner knows who it is.
I think the shop owner didn't understand what I said. I wasn't asking about online orders; I was asking about buying something to take home. I went to the store and asked if I could buy beer to take home, and he didn't ask me anything. He immediately told me to go to the shop next door. If you were an employee, wouldn't you ask the customer what they wanted? I went to the counter where the order machine was. It doesn't matter where the ordering point or pickup point is. I came back in and looked at the menu, and he still didn't ask me anything. He pretended not to see me even though I was standing there looking at him. If your store has CCTV cameras, you should review the footage instead of just listening to your employees. Don't tell me to go back; I'm not going back anyway.
Came in Sunday afternoon and ordered some drinks, a flight & food. Very nice atmosphere. Bartender was a super nice guy & very attentive.
We got beef lumpia (delicious), chicken bacon tacos (omg) & cheesesteak flatbread (to die for).
Drinks were lemon merengue sour (so good), different beers that were really good. A notable one is the pbj one and this one was a great balance between peanut butter & jelly. Pb can be overpowering which I don’t mind cuz I love that flavor but this was a great balance. Would come back 10/10
So yummy!! Nice rotating selections of beers and the food is always good too!
The vibe and the beer was perfection. The #199 reminded me of karate in the garage from southern swells and I was hooked. The bartender, Cam was so fun and knowledgeable! 10/10 would come back
Absolutely a must when you are in Yulee! The beers 🍺 are great! Enjoying the #199 Hazy IPA and “The Dark” an imperial double porter. Had a chance to say hello to the owners S (who is a great chef and brewer) and J (who proves to be a wonderful support to the brewery) and also the amazing Cam who is one of the most helpful bartenders you will ever meet! He is also helps make the 🍺! Thank you S & J Brewery for serving the community!
This place has the BEST beer for miles! Shawn keeps a consistent “type” of beer on tap (IPA, brown, porter, etc) but changes within the category. I am a porter girl and NEVER have I been disappointed! My husband loves the browns…Again-ALWAYS loves them. I love living in an area with several breweries but this is my go to! When my daughter got married we brought our (then) future son in law (a Brit) here to choose his favorites to serve at the wedding. He was hard pressed to choose because he loved them all. In the end he picked 3 and the wedding guests loved them all! Shawn and Joanne and very friendly and so are the bartenders Cam and Conner. This place is a jewel in the local brewery crown!
Nice chill vibe. Not a lot of beer on tap, but nice tasting beer. Feels like “Cheers”, a place where the locals hang out.
Very tasty beer and the flatbread cheese steak pizza was delicous!
Friendly. Some good brews! Good prices for a craft brewery as well!
Best brewery in the area!

SJ Brewing was a just place on the map we wanted to check out and we were so glad we did. It's a small cozy brewery and taproom in a storefront on a busy street. We arrived at a good time in early afternoon and we were able to talk at kength to the friendly bartender, Cam. He was informative and made our visit enjoyable. There was a selection of about a dozen beers on tap and each one we tried was somewhere between very good and great. We also enjoyed seeing their beer can collection with many cans from the 1980s, including the Knoxville World's Fair series of cans, and Billy Beer, which referred to President Jimmy Carter's comical brother, Billy. It was great to see these cans in great condition all these years later.. we will stop here again and try some more SJ brews the next time we are in the area.
Great beers! Great food! Cant go wrong.
