I rolled through the drive-thru craving a cherry slush like my life depended on it—only to realize Tap to Pay (aka my love language) isn’t accepted there 😩 and guess who didn’t have their card? Me. Because modern convenience has absolutely ruined me.

I was about to drive away in cherry-less disappointment, but the sweet girl at the window smiled, handed me the slush anyway, and said not to worry about it. I didn’t catch her name, but her kindness was the bright spot in a very gray day.

Idk if there’s just only 1 employee running the entire store by themselves or if the other employees refuse to do their job but waiting 20 min in line at the drive thru and they don’t even come to the window once for the 2 cars wow it it in line for 20+ min is insane. I could have sat down at Cracker Barrel and been fed and paid the bill and home by the time they woulda got to us.

I’ve lived in Fernandina for over ten years. I don’t write bad reviews often, if ever. I honestly only take the effort to write positive reviews for places…but, damn. Ten years. 120 months. 3,650 days, my guy. A literal DECADE of wrong orders.

Sonic has been a childhood favorite of mine. When I lived in Jax…just perfection. I mean, Sonic is generally really good. I’m not a huge fast food guy, but when I want some fast food…I dig some Sonic. But maaaaaaaan, let me teeeeeelllllll you. Since living here…I have, not once, received a proper order. Ever. And I sincerely mean that. I stopped going around 2020…after like 8 failed trips between 2015 and the end of 2019, where I ordered food and drove home to realize the order was not just wrong, but like, COMPLETELY wrong - I just stopped going. Five years later, here we are. 2025. The fam wants burgers for dinner and I decided “you know, lemme give Sonic a shot again. Maybe they got their act together”. We been a bit tired of Whataburger and Culver’s. Figured I would try Sonic again. Anywho, I roll up, it’s not busy at all mind you….so I press the red button and place my order.

My order is as follows: #10, just the sandwich (chicken sandwich for the wife), #3 meal w/Dr Pepper and tots (for me), and #1, no mayo and no cheese, add mustard (for my kid). I wait for like 15min…get my food and drive the ten minutes home (my mistake - should have checked the bag there). I open the bag…there’s two double cheese burgers and a regular cheeseburger. None of them have bacon. No tots. Normally, we just eat the jacked up meal. But, that was the first time I took the time to put the food back in the bag and drive back. Sat there in the stall for like 20min before I got my food back and the dude who gave me my food was like “Yea, man….you should probably check it before you leave just in case”. I mean, even the employee knew what was up. *insert two-handed facepalm here* Y'all STILL didn’t get the order right (gave me fries instead of tots, but at that point…close enough man. I took the mulligan, looked at dude and said “all good bro, take it easy” and just left.

Like…DAMN MAN. Ya’ll are legit sorry asf. Ten solid years of just gutter service. I mean…a decade? Crazy work, fam. Crazy. You almost have to STRIVE to be that consistently abhorrent at something so elementary as making fast food, ffs. My flabber is ghasted at how this particular sonic is still in business.

Unfortunately not a great experience. The Staff were completely unaware that 4 ordering stations were malfunctioning to include the Disabled station.
Smell of trash overwhelmed the outside eating opportunity. Food was good in flavor and temperature, just took over 10 minutes to arrive.

All the negatives were probably due to short staffing. Setting a schedule to periodically test ordering stations and placing cones or signs for their unavailability to warn customers, might help in the future.

The interaction with the attendant resulted in a very pleasant moment, respectful and friendly.

Overall a crap place to visit.
Been here twice and had issues twice. 1st time they double charged me for my drinks without proper explanation.
Now today I ordered on the app and they didn't have any fried chicken bites/tenders to make what I ordered. After they dispensed my order, they tell me they don't have any chicken pieces for the BBQ chicken wraps and didn't have any chicken bites. Literally my whole order was Unavailable. And all they did was offer a refund that I had to request thru the app. Nothing else. They app didn't offer a refund, so I had to call the 1800 #. They said it would take 7-10 business days for the refund. This is unacceptable! The location should of at bare minimum offered me a gift card for reimbursement, or offered to replace my meal with some type of upgrade for thier mistake. Not only did they do nothing to help me, they didn't even try to help. No sorry for the inconvenience.
Nothing! Wasted my lunch time from my job for nothing at all. I do not plan to ever visit this location again. Would be better off closed down. With such a low rating overall, it's clearly an issue with the location. Yulee can live without this place and it's issues.
