This was my first time here and the owner was there interacting with regulars on a personal level. Ppl that grew up there know him well. Service was above satisfactory. Food was cook promptly and tasted like momma makes it. 5 star all the way around
I had not been to the original 2 minute egg. Went yesterday......disappointed. Every time I have been there previously the portions were big. I always order the fried chicken, which has always had large pieces, yesterday it looked more like fried pigeon. Even the taste was lacking. I.have previously told the owner that he has "the best fried chicken" around. Now I am not so.sure. no longer do you automatic get ice cream when you finish your meal, only certain meals...
Nothing fancy , but delicious! Food was like homemade . We had pork chops and a fish platter both fried and battered perfectly . Drove by it many times since I moved here from polk in August. Glad we stopped in and will be back. Server was very friendly and kept our drinks full
