What it really deserves is 0 stars starting with the lack of service and training. This place has prices as if it was "de cache" but it's not, it's just a glorified cafeteria. We ordered a red snapper fillet and got a whole fried fish and the server insisted that we ordered that but we clearly said RED SNAPPER FILLET. She didn't even offer to fix the problem probably because they wanted to charge the $50, which is OVERKILL, and by the way on the receipt it reads WHOLE GRILLED RED SNAPPER, does not say fried. The lack of attention about this matter by the server was terrible and very unprofessional with her tone and she couldn't even involve the manager, if there is one. Please train your servers, customer service is #1. We will never return to this place, ever again. I rather take the drive to Pal Campo or Rice n Beans. And btw the pollo al ajillo, not even close to the other boricuan restuarants we have visited. Go back and train, get it right! When it took so long just to get a glass of water after we were seated, we felt like leaving BUT we stayed, we should have trusted our instinct and left!

My wife had the red snapper, and I had the steak. It was plentiful and tasty.

Great place for a traditional meal. Food and drinks are excellent, with Salsa music and videos playing. Love coming here for a family dinner.

The waitress seemed bothered that we walked in. They used to be very welcoming. We ordered a sampler and then they came back to say they did not have any available. They gave the impression that their empanadilllas are not made in house. The place has really gone down, it was empty and service is poor. I used to love this place. Hopefully it gets better.

Tonight, I visited Corozal Restaurant in Zephyrhills for the first time. As a native Puerto Rican, I had high expectations for the flavor of the food, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. I ordered a "Bistec Encebollado," which is essentially a skirt steak with onions, accompanied by white rice, black beans, fried sweet plantains, and a salad.I was greeted by a friendly young lady who promptly seated me and served my juice. At that time, the restaurant was nearly empty, with only two other tables occupied. The same server took my drink order and assured me that someone would attend to me shortly. However, I ended up waiting a long time before another server checked on me, and I had to inform her that no one had taken my order yet. When my meal arrived, the presentation was appealing, but the flavor was lackluster. The white rice and fried plantains were the best parts, which isn't saying much. The black beans were like a soup, hard, and flavorless, as if they were simply boiled and served. The steak lacked seasoning, and even with hot sauce added, it remained bland. The salad came without any dressing, so I had to eat it plain.I was so hungry after coming back from the gym that I forced myself to eat half of the meal. When my waitress finally checked on me, I was honest about my dissatisfaction. She asked why I hadn't mentioned anything earlier, but it was because she had only just come to check on me. I requested the check, and she apologized for the meal. I explained that it wasn't her fault, but rather the cook's inability to properly prepare Puerto Rican cuisine. The meal cost almost $30, which was not worth it at all.I hope the restaurant improves because the quality of the food is subpar. The ambiance is nice, and the servers are friendly but slow to take care of the food orders. Unfortunately, the food itself is just bland.

Delicious Puerto Rican food and a nice atmosphere. I highly recommend the alcapurrias and sorullos appetizers. The fried pork chunks entree is good too.

Very poor attitudes from all but one person, and poor service to match. Music was nice, food and value was just okay. IF i were to consider a second try of the food, I ABSOLUTELY would not because of the sour Princess attitudes and service. Staff seemed all about their own, but that was my perception. If you are okay with that, then this may be your spot. I can check this one off as a no can do in Zhills.
