I ordered 2 small chicken Parmesan to go and, it was the best I have ever had. In my life! And the door dash was very nice and polite. Thank you Jose for the delivery.

I was with a party of 10 last week. Everyone got their food except me. Mine did not come out from the kitchen until everyone else had finished their plates. How embarrassing for me. The server just said he was sorry. I was not going to further, possibly humiliate myself by asking for the charge to be forgiven. Seems like this has happened to others. Not a good practice.

One of the issues with the Tampa Bay area is that we have a constant supply corporate chains either present here or starting off. We're known as the place to launch a chain, and if it can do well here then they can get financing for expansion. Piccola's is one of those rare gems of a mom and pop restaurant that survives in the face of the fierce onslaught of chains. The food is absolutely solid and tastes like home. It is by no means fancy, but immediately feels familiar because this is how family restaurants used to be before everything else got inhuman and ruled by MBAs armed with business metrics.

Our server, Mary was perfect, attentive to every detail. However, the kitchen lost our order and we did not receive our food for an hour and a half. When we requested a 50% discount of our meals because of the wait, we were given 50% off of one meal. With the request of 50% off the meals we said we would come back and try again. That will not be happening. The food was average at best. Management never even spoke with us as they sent the server to deliver the bad news. Very disappointed.

Food was great, but the waiter wasn't very good. He was nice, but slow to put in our order. This made us wait for an hour for our meal. This was the first time that happened.
The food was absolutely delicious! We started with calamari apprtizer and it was cooked perfectly; mostly rings with a few small tentacles thrown in. The Ceasar salad was very good with what tasted like a small batch dressing. The chicken parmesan and the tour of Italy were said to be very good by my companions. I had the seafood pasta with homemade angel hair and it FANTASTIC. I've been thinking about it ever since! The garlic bread was sliced Italian bread slightly toasted with some oil and maybe garlic seasoning? I would have preferred the bread to a bit better, but it was a minor consideration. The clam chowder was also good and full of clams. The tiramisu was good, but doesn't necessarily taste homemade. I would definitely go back again!Wheelchair accessibility: My companion was in a large motorized wheelchair, and although the entrance was a tad tricky to maneuver, the staff accommodated us at a table that was very spacious and allowed him to move around when needed.

Waitress claims everything is made in house, however Alfredo tastes like it came from a jar (waitress claims nutmeg in the Alfredo; this may be the sticking point). Not a problem if that is palatable for you, but was disappointing for our party.Appetizers: zucchini fries - special - delicious. Served with marinara, well worth the order. If you like zucchini, you will enjoy this. Smothered in bread crumbs and deep fried, nice crunch and mild flavor.Fried Combo - Ravioli, mozzarella sticks, eggplant. All pleasant and delicious marinara. Mozzarella sticks taste frozen.Manicotti w/Pomodoro Sauce - delicious. Pomodoro sauce is nice and flavorful, hearty and scrumptious. Manicotti is cooked to perfection.Did not partake in desert options.Overall, will repeat. Service was EXCEPTIONAL.

Smaller restaurant but very delightful experience. Everyone was very kind and I showed up with a table for 8. I had the tour of Italy I think is what it was called and I had Lasagna, eggplant parmesan and another. It's basically small servings of three options off of there list. I do recommend at least giving them a 1 shot chance to prove why they have been around for so many years.
So authentic!! So fresh. The atmosphere and the owner are amazing. Eat what he tells you that you would like, don’t ask for a menu! Absolutely amazing and get the cannoli for dessert!! The Amalfi dish is wonderful!! This will be our Italian restaurant from now on. Never returning to “commercial” Italian again.
