I live 20 minutes away and visit every time I go to Red Top but sometimes make the drive anyway just for the food. I benchmark every barbecue place we eat at against Ferleys and nowhere has lived up. By far the best barbecue I've ever had.
Not the best barbecue but very good food. We came for the macaroni and cheese which was pretty good. It has good flavors- not as cheesy as I would like, but it's creamy and the choice of macaroni has a good texture, very flavorful sauce. We also ordered the chili dog special which was two beef hot dogs with chili and we added onions tasted really good for chili dog sake. The main attraction was the brisket it had a nice smoke ring but not Smokey in flavor-- although the bark was nice and it was seasoned well.Overall great experience as a customer and I will bring my family back when in the area!

Currently sitting down enjoying a very nice lunch. The person taking the order is super friendly. Food came out quick and delicious! I LOVE that Brunswick stew and the slaw on my sandwich. ? excellent taste and value! For the person who was being critical about the nachos.. one you don't come to a BBQ joint for nachos. ?

Nice outside area to eat. Good service. Pulled pork sandwich was extremely good. Got sweet barbaque on side. Their sauce was good. The sandwich did not really need it. Very moist pulled pork with a nice mild smokey taste. Good job cook! Good deal for the money. We will be back.Parking: Large front parking area. Very clean.

At the end of long four days of preparation for a garage sale and the sale itself, we decided to treat the local, and out-of-town, family to barbecue from Ferley’s. We are from Florida and it was our first time to try Ferley’s, which was also true of the Georgia family as well. The food was wonderful!! Everyone’s favorite was the brisket! It was very lean and described by everyone as the “best ever”! The pulled pork was delicious and we served it with their yummy sweet homemade barbecue sauce. The collard greens had just enough, but not too much, “kick” to them. The baked beans were obviously their own recipe and could be a meal by itself, as there was meat in the beans. The green beans were obviously fresh green beans and deliciously prepared. The mac and cheese was a hit with the young people! The Brunswick stew was very spicy; a bit too spicy for us. The staff and chef we met, whom we assumed were part of the family-owned business were very accommodating and carried our order out to the car for us. If you are ever in the area and love barbecue, then Ferley’s should be at the top of your list!
My husband I each ordered the 3 rib dinner. I had baked beans and collard greens. The collard greens were good.My husband had the cole slaw and cucumber salad. He said the cole slaw was okay but didn't care for the cucumber salad.Unfortunately, we both found the ribs to be overcooked and tough. The sides were okay. I mentioned it to the young lady at the window and her response was "okay". My son had a brisket plate and he enjoyed it. Overall, the food was not that good. I don't think we would go back. I'm not sure if the other items would have been good or not. It was a very disappointing meal for us.

Awesome bbq. Don’t hesitate to try them out. Best in the area by a country mile!I am extremely picky about bbq restaurants. I find most of them to be mediocre and overpriced. Look at my reviews and you’ll quickly tell that I find most of the bbq in the ackworth/kennesaw area to be mid af.Right off the bat, Ferleys felt worth the money. All the meats were juicy with decent smoke flavor. The ribs might have had the most perfect cook I’ve experienced at bbq restaurant. Toothsome and meaty, but somehow fall off the bone and juicy to boot. They have every sauce you could want and they’re all done pretty well. Bonus points for effort and variety. Having Alabama white as an option warms my heart.Sides are on point, nothing outrageous or super inventive but solid and they have something for everyone. So many places just phone it in on the sides, these folks put in the effort. Finally, they actually serve Watergate salad. One of my favorite desserts and it’s a trip to actually see it on a menu. Tasted fresh when I had it, not watery or soggy. Such a nice little treat to cap everything off.Vegetarian options: It’s a damn bbq joint lmao.

Came here specifically for the nachos and I was a bit disappointed. I ordered them without jalapeños and scallions since I don't like veggies but the chips and cheese were like the ones they serve at the movies, I wasn't expecting that at all. The meat was pretty decent. My kids got mac, mash potatoes and a hot dog, they weren't too bad but the mac n cheese was our favorite. Wish they had inside seating but that was my fault for not paying attention before coming here lol
