Food and service was excellent. I waiter was really good, I wish I could remember his name . He was originally from Fairhope. We had the Hawaiian ribeye, flounder , bourbon salmon , and red fish . All was very good!

Had the mussels (too salty) and stuffed flounder (it was ok but prolly could have used some caper sauce and fried alligator (kinda tough, and the chili sauce could be replaced with ramoulade)The service was excellent, it was nice and warm inside and had the fire pit going on the side patio, which was appealing.I MIGHT go again, but I personally polly won't suggest it my bi-weekly foodie date.

The best restaurant in Acworth, hands down. We don't have many options to choose from as it is which is frustrating but you can pretty much bank on Fishthyme being delicious and having exceptional service. Very well trained staffed and impressive management.

I loved the food. I did. But my daughter brought me here knowing I'd love a great black owned experience. I'm a Chef myself. So, I respect the industry and the art of food and fine cuisine. However, I was extremely disappointed how EVERY picture in the establishment were white people..one of a black couple. Like they catered to whites. So disappointing. I'm very involved in my community and wanted to introduce my chapters to this restaurant. But no never!!!!! We're proud HBCU graduates and I was hurt to know this was a black owned business. Mark 8:36 "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?". I would have been happy with a mixture of photos on the wall. I'm assuming because the majority were whites, they HAVE TO CATER TO WHO BRINGS in the money. So sad. The food was decent, nonetheless.

I was told by a anonymous person working there that they complain and talk bad about the customers that don’t tip, and that’s fine but I refuse to go somewhere that begs people for money like strippers . They got fake nice employees and cry about not leaving a tip when you leave. I’d rather go to McDonald’s ??????

It's so hard to describe this place. It's classy but cozy. Upscale, but down to earth. I suggest if you're going for dinner, get there early. We arrived around 6pm on a Friday and it was 3/4 packed and full by the time we left. And for good reason.First: Oysters - fantastic.Gumbo - absolutely amazing. Loaded with meat and veggies with a kick that cleared my sinuses.I do appreciate that they have half sizes available for some of their entrees. We had the Texas Redfish with green beans (perfectly cooked) and the hashbrowns. Delish. My father had the Grouper. He said it was cooked differently than he'd had before with the skin on and he said the crispy texture and flavor was amazing. He used the term "pleasantly surprised".Son had the Hawaii Ripeye and the truffle fries and he loved them. What really stole the show was the courteous service. The owner greeted us at the door and our server DJ could not have been better. He was so professional and responsive, but really cool and approachable too.I love the vibe of this place and the food and service more than back it up.

The food was excellent! I had the stuffed flounder, and it was so good, but I couldn't eat all of it because we filled up with the delicious appetizers. Make a reservation and go.

My wife and I celebrated our 42 anniversary dinner here. The experience from start to finish was amazing. Warmly greeted upon entering the restaurant, staff members saw we got seated quickly and our server was attentive and professional. The food was superb! Thoroughly enjoyed the visit, the service and the meal and a wonderful anniversary celebration with my wife!

This was my first time here. The atmosphere was immediately calming. It reminded me of some of the more upscale restaurants in Mykonos, Greece. All white plaster walls, lots of arches and spacious. Our waiter was kind and genuine. I asked about one of the wines and wanted to know where it was from since it wasn't listed on the menu. He didn't know and offered to find out. He brought me a taste which I wouldn't have needed if I had known the region it was made in. I never found out. It WAS what I was looking for so I was pleased. While we are on the subject of the wine list. It was very basic and sparse. Typical, moderate and average. It was obvious to me that there was not a wine enthusiast in charge of the selection. It seemed very dated. Specifically, I refer to Kendall Jackson Chardonnay and Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio. These wines had their "heyday" in the late 80s into the 90s. The wine selection did not equal the high quality and flavor of the food. My table truly enjoyed the mussels cooked in something of a burre blanc broth with shallots and herbs. I nice chunk of toasted and crusty bread came with for delicious dunking. The oysters Rockefeller were delicious as well. They were made "by the book". Our fish entrees were spectacular. I ordered the 9 oz. swordfish with a black pepper and panko crust that was served with a delightful honey mustard cognac sauce (It came on the side which I thought was odd, but I suppose too many guests were afraid they wouldn't like it so the chef gave in to that, perhaps to keep from remaking the dish. Of course, this is just my assumption.) The swordfish was perfectly cooked which is not always an easy thing to do. Tender, juicy and so very tasty. I tried my sisters horseradish grouper and it was beautiful as well. The sides we each ordered for our fish were enjoyed. I did need salt for the green beans. There was no room for dessert, which by the looks of them it was not going to be a light finish. I would highly recommend Fish Thyme to anyone. It is my sister's favorite restaurant and I am so glad I was finally able to share it with her and my niece. I look forward to going back when I visit Georgia again.P.S. I have been in the restaurant business for over 40 years. It is impossible for me to go to any restaurant and not view it from the inside out. I watch everything and to me, once a place gets the big stuff right (food, wine, ambiance and staffing) it should then become about the million little things that can influence a guests experience. Staff knowledge is a very important thing to me. If a staff person doesn't have proficient knowledge of all of the restaurants products (especially food and drinks) I assume the restaurant doesn't enforce it. Sadly, I find that to be the case in these current times. Knowledge and genuine care cultivates trust which then allows the guest to relax and have an experience along with dinner.
