If you have an event to plan in the Acworth area, I highly recommend, The Cowan Historic Mill. The Venue is beautiful, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The package options and verity make planning so much easier and take a huge weight off your shoulders. The ambiance is amazing, the food was delicious, they have a variety of options to choose from. I promise you will not be disappointed. Everyone was so kind and helpful and it made a super stressful day so much less so.

She took the stress off of me having to worry about things going wrong. The venue was exceptional and beautiful; accommodated my 100 guests and made them feel welcome! What a joke train kept going by every few minutes loud. If you're having a wedding there best have it inside. Because if you have it outside, you're gonna be disturbed by a train going by every few minutes.

Nice place for a small affair. Interesting architecture. Major downsides are no handicap access to the upstairs patio and proximity to the railroad tracks. Several trains passed through during the ceremony.

It is a nice historic building. Do not choose this if you have over 100 people. It is tight seating for 160. The chairs have to be moved from the top floor down to the dining rooms while the guests enjoyed the cocktail hour and were moved on handcarts through the guests who overflowed to the sidewalk. The wait staff was great and the food was delish.

The Cowan Historic Mill hosted a reunion for alumni of Smyrna Hospital this past Saturday evening. What an amazing venue. We chose the Mill after planning a reunion that rapidly outgrew two sites before we ended up finding this spot. The Operations Manager Amanda Marcy was helpful and gracious, and quickly came to our rescue. The Mill is beautiful, there are two parking lots which provide free parking and easy access, and the location, right in the heart of historic downtown Acworth, couldn't be better. A big thank you is due to our servers Jessica and Kimberly, and to the event manager Sydney. They worked tirelessly to help us manage the larger than expected crowd with a smile on their faces. We particularly enjoyed talking with Sydney as she will be starting nursing school soon, and will make a great nurse one day. Our heartfelt thanks to everyone!!!!!

The wedding we were at was beautiful. However, we couldn't hear the wedding over the AC unit being so loud and no mic. Sitting outside in their chairs, you couldn't get comfortable bc the water kept dripping from the top porch. Had to sit with an umbrella over me. They can't do anything about the trains, of course, but so loud. Other than that, the place is cute and quaint. Had a great setup in the bathroom for any situation. The ladies working at the wedding were nice as well!
