Ribs are awesome. Cooked competition style so they don't fall off the bone but allow you to eat them properly with a small tug to remove the meat cleanly from the bone. Brisket was good with ample bark. Pork was shredded and there wasn't enough bark for my taste. Sauces are Georgia style and have just enough heat, but doesn't overpower the flavor of the 'que. It was worth the trip.
Best BBQ around. Astounding ribs & pulled chicken. The coleslaw is out of this world. Finished off by a light lemony delight (lemon pound cake.) A must try if you’re in the area. Worth driving out of your way for!!!!!
My experience at Characters Famous BBQ was exceptional. The service great, was greeted at the door, order taken promptly and within 10 minutes my order was ready. The food is absolutely delicious 😋. The price is great, along with the atmosphere. Southern BBQ with a bit of Character, is always A+.
