Staff is always friendly and remembers their “regulars”. On Thursday’s, they serve fresh to order chicken livers with their regular menu. They are the best in any restaurant in Georgia I’ve visited. Fresh greens, cabbage, and mashed potatoes are also fantastic. The sour cream pound cake tops off the traditional Southern style cookin’.
You have to take time to grab a bite here.
I got the fried chicken, the chicken was so good and juicy. Better than any I had in years. My wife got the fried fish. It was fabulous, like dad used to make it when he was with us.

I am from out of town so this was my first time at Tom and Hattie's, but I will definitely be going again next time I am in town. The food is delicious, the staff very friendly and I really like the cafeteria style. My favorite was their fried green tomatoes. When I asked for a take home container for the fried tomatoes I couldn't eat, our terrific server brought me a container with four fresh tomatoes inside.
