Altobeli's Restaurant and Piano Bar

Our evening was very disappointing. One out of 5 salad/soup orders was wrong. Restaurant was not at all busy but kitchen was very slow. 4 of us ordered veal dishes and found inconsistency in the veal cuts. Some thin, some thick. Snapper was boney and not breaded as described. I've had many great meals here. This was the first poor experience. At the end there was a mistake with the checks. It seemed the owner may not have been there which may have been the issue.

Disappointing! Our reservation was for 7 on a Friday night and we didn't get served until 9. There were only 2 wait staff trying to care for about 6 tables. The owner was cooking because the cook didn't show. The food average. We had to go to the bar to get the bartender to serve us. Such a pity. The place has gone downhill. The best part...the music is still great. We won't be going back. So sad.

Our service was the worst we ever experienced. We heard there is new ownership. We waited almost 2 hours for our meal. The food was just so so. Not the same.

The chef, waiter, and pianist were some of the nicest people I've ever met! But... The food may have been the worst I've ever had at a restaurant. Everything tasted and smelled spoiled or old. Lots of other reviews confirm the same. You hate to see good people in positions like this, but this place is on its way out of business.

We decided to visit this restaurant on a Thursday evening around 6:30. There was one other table, with two more tables seated after we arrived. The server was brand new to serving as it was his first night, ever. There were no additional servers and there wasn't a bartender, just one lady who said she was in charge and worked in the kitchen.

Service was slow, and the food was terrible. The Bolognese wasn't seasoned and zero salt was used in the pasta water. Even though the women from the kitchen claimed they used salt, but then admitted they don't use much because people complained everything was too salty. I couldn't even eat the dish it's was so terrible. My wife had the lasagna which was okay. The restaurant is very expensive and I was credited 15% for my Bolognese that I didn't eat.

They did have a singer who did a fine job.

A favorite for many years and many loyal customers. Should be attracting more new patrons! The owner is there and instrumental in making things go according to her expectations! Service is generous, kind and experienced. The piano player is a jewel. The food was already excellent and bountiful but the music was another measure of enjoyment on top. The kitchen shows amazing flexibility! Atmosphere beams old time elegance and comfort. (A little heavy on the airconditioning, so ladies, bring an extra layer.)

A planned party. Long wait times. Took over two hours for every meal to come out. Took over an hour for bread to come out. Meals finally started arriving after 9 pm after we asked to bring at least the children’s meals out. They are focused more on the entertainment than serving their customers. Max, our server, was great. Attentive as much as he could be. I

If I could write a 0 star review, then I would. Our family came here to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday party. The service at the beginning was fine, however, it literally took over 2 hours to get our food. Behind unacceptable, the restaurant was not even full. I also figured it was taking a long time for the food to come out as they were waiting to bring everyone’s meal out, not the case. The music was loud, and not very good. If you’re thinking about coming to this restaurant, don’t. What I was expecting to be a fun, celebratory event tonight turned into friends and family leaving before the food was even served. I hope this is a wake up call that management does something different, as I would never ever come back to this establishment after this.

First the food. If there is a contest for the worst representation of Italian Food in North Georgia, its going on here. A party of 10, not one good experience with their selection. The wait staff , on top of it, seems to be struggling to keep up, with meal arrivals and final checks with extreme wait times to arrive. The Tiramsu was old, unrecognizable on the plate, the whipped cream next to the cake was collapsed on the plate, meaning it was old and sat in the refrigerator. The cake seemed to be diluted with dishwater. Great Piano Player though.

Pasta was cold and seemed like it was a few days old or came out of freezer. Bolegnese was suuuper watery. Bartender [thru no fault of his own] is completely deaf and you have to shout at him to order and listen to him shout back in your face. Wish the food were better. Had high hopes

Arrived at 6. One server in entire restaurant. All others were a no show. Took an hour to get drinks. Took 2 hours to get our entrees. This was a special place years ago. I understand it is under new management. Well new management definitely isn't taking care of the restaurant. I'll never go back.

What a charming quaint spot, celebrated my birthday here and Casey the owner made us feel like family. The Atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food was tasty and the service great!

The place was phenomenal. Our first time visiting, the owner took care of our service and she went above & beyond making the experience great. The restaurant is very well managed.
