I visited Bang Bang once before and thought it was just okay. I wondered why the place was so empty despite its decent setup. Today, I went back, and now I understand why. The restaurant lacks both courtesy and consistency, which makes for a disappointing experience.
The fried rice I ordered last time was completely different today, and not in a good way. The low-quality chicken in it was so bad it made me gag. Consistency is key for any restaurant, and they completely missed the mark.
The ordering system is another issue. You’re supposed to order on a screen, but if you don’t know what everything is, good luck—there’s nobody around to help. That’s why I played it safe and ordered the same thing as last time. Even something as simple as asking for a slice of lemon for water was met with, “We don’t have it.”
Overall, it’s clear why this place struggles to attract customers

The chicken katsu, friend chicken and tuna kimbap were phenomenal! I would definitely recommend any of these dishes.

I had a great experience at Bang Bang Japanese and Korean Cuisine! The donkatsu was fantastic—perfectly crispy and served in a generous portion. The self-ordering system was convenient and streamlined the process. Since it's self-service, tipping isn't required, which I appreciated, though I did notice the ordering machine still prompts for tips (18%, 20%, etc.). I opted out, but I hope they reconsider including that option, as it feels unnecessary in this setting. Aside from that, the rice seems to be old and not fresh. I barely eat the rice on the plate and I can tell since I am an asian and eat rice everyday.

The food was just ok. Went there because Ichiban was closed. Don't think I'll be going back.

Tried the Veg Dumplings and Veg Kimbap. Very good. Love to visit again to try others from the menu.

I’ve been here a few times and so far has been good. It’s been awhile since I’ve been back and I tried their Korean bbq ghalbi ribs and by far the best I’ve had in Georgia. It was flavorful but sweet which I don’t mind. The way they make it is perfect. Def one of my favorite on their menu. .

Surprised by this place. Im always wary of more unique asian options in a place like Alpharetta, but the Katsu was great. Reasonably priced, good portions, and well flavored.

The food is good, but they don’t have any spice. The hot sauce was a bit spicier than ketchup, and had more of a sweet note. The service is okay, as the cashier just looked like she was bored and it seemed like she did not really care.

First I'll say, this restaurant was VERY clean, which is much appreciated. The service was average, not overly friendly, but not rude at all. In fact, when placing our order he was quite patient with how long it took for us to decide.
To be honest, the food was not great. We tried several different things; shrimp tempera, kimchi fried rice, chicken teriyaki, spicy pork bulgolgi, and vegetable kimbop. Sadly, other than the VERY large portion sizes, we didn't think the food was good by any means. I think we were hoping for more traditional flavors. We felt that most things were too sweet and inauthentic when it came to seasoning. We did not try any of the desserts, but they did look nice! Unfortunately, due to the lack of flavor, and leaving not feeling great afterwards, we wouldn't eat here again.

It's a fairly new place in the neighborhood and I thought I'd give it a try. Boy was I in for a treat. Their sushi menu is really good(I have tried sushi in Japan as well and this place is good). My wife and I weren't too impressed with the Korean menu, but to be fair we haven't tied enough variety. Of one is in the mood for Japanese or Korean food this place is on of the top option in Alpharetta area.

Food was incredible and was a huge portion size. Spent about $30 for 2 large drinks and an entree that filled us both.
