Server could only speak Telugu, we couldn’t understand anything. We told him we dont understand Telugu, but he replied in Telugu. We left without ordering.
We went to Blockbuster Cafe after having great experience with the food at an event, but not even close to it at the restaurant, which was a huge disappointment.
Red karam onion dosa was not spicy, but more on the sour side. We expected it to be more on the spicy side as it's a Raayala seema dosa. The taste was good though.
We got gobi fried rice as it was recommended by the employee at the register. She said it was their most popular special item. We shouldn't have got it based on her recommendation. The fried rice was made of basmati rice, which is very unusual. The rice was dry as a leaf and tasteless.
Mirchi bajjis didn't have salt in the batter. They were hot and crispy, but no taste. No salt in the batter and not spicy.
Final verdict is that Blockbuster Cafe was not at all a Blockbuster, in fact.

We had a wonderful experience at Blockbuster Cafe & Bakery Indian Pure Vegetarian! The food was absolutely delicious and brought back authentic flavours from India. The Red Karam Dosa with ghee was outstanding which was perfectly crisp with rich, comforting flavour. The highlight was definitely the honey cake, which tasted exactly like the ones back home in India which was soft, moist, and full of nostalgia.
A perfect spot for anyone craving true Indian vegetarian taste with a homely touch. Highly recommend!

Quality and quantity is below than in any local restaurant in India. Combo upma box size is the smallest and that is also not full. “Very cheap” not reasonable at all. Price is almost $13… I don’t think I will go or recommend anyone to go there. Indian or South Indian restaurants are much better in Swanee both quality and quantity wise. They need to do better.

A wonderful experience at Blockbuster and Café Alpharetta! The flavors were rich, the quality was impressive, and the ambience had a great vibe. Truly appreciate Ram Induri’s vision behind this place – it shows in every detail.

We tried for first time because it was suggested by someone we know. It’s the worst restaurant food so far . They have loads on the menu which looks impressive. But the food is absolutely zero.
We tried from chaats to dosa to pastry. There should be something that should taste good but no. Old pastry , cold food and zero efforts in trying to make chaat items. None close to what it should taste like. Cherry on top - we found a hair sticking inside the bowl.
And please don’t call it Mysore Masala dosa. You can’t just stuff something in and call it so. It’s not even close.
I guess everyone who gave them good rating never cooks - as the saying goes “something is better than nothing “
Do I recommend it to others ? - NO
