We've been to Coalition a few times since its opening. I used to think it was good but slightly overpriced. The past couple of times we have been, the food, drinks, and service have been OUTSTANDING! The prices are still the same, but I now feel like the price is ok given the level of quality. Whatever they have been doing recently, they should keep doing because they have now won us over and will regularly be dining there.
The place was abuzz for a Saturday night! We had to wait over 20 minutes for our table but I was glad to have reservations as people were trying to walk in and being turned away. We had a great meal; everyone liked their entrees and said they would definitely return! Thanks!
We were late coming from a retirement party that ran long. This restaurant was so cool and was still able to seat us pretty quickly..! We were starving and very appreciative!! Then, the food and service were both amazing! Will definitely return!
I made a bar seating reservation confirmed later by an email from staff telling me they had no other seating and I said yes. Upon arrival we were told bar seating is first come first serve and the bar was full. I'm not sure what the point is in you accepting bar reservations if you don't honor them. We waited and were sat at a table and had Scotty for our server. He was great. The food however was bad. My husband had the crab stuffed shrimp. They tasted ok. The dirty rice had chicken livers in it, big dry black pieces, and that was disgusting. I had sea bass with crab sauce, I asked for NO sides, but my plate came with a ridiculously large amount of potatoes and broccoli that I specifically said I did not want. The fish and crab tasted ok, definitely not worth the money at all. Prices are very high and the amount of seafood you get is not worth the price. The overfilling of sides on the plate must be to make it look like you're getting a lot in order to justify the prices. We wasted a meal. We will not be returning.
My food was outstanding but what I didn't appreciate was the 20% gratuity other than that everything else was great
We came for a relaxed dinner and mentioned another couple might join. Our server immediately imposed a 90-minute limit and repeatedly warned us about time, despite the restaurant not being full and our booth fitting four. OpenTable showed open availability, yet we felt rushed, pressured, and like an inconvenience, overshadowing the good food.
The best thing about this restaurant is the social media account. Extremely deceiving. The food is very bad. Drinks were okay. Overpriced for the quality food. Glorified bar food with hefty price tag. Disappointed we drove over an hour to eat here. Will not be back.
The food was amazing however social media is misleading I was looking for my supreme oysters to look just like the images and it did not but they were still good ... will definitely be back
Originally, I came for the char-grilled oysters, and the first few times they were absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, during my most recent visit, the oysters were very small and just not the same as before. That said, the crab cake was delicious, and the chowder was excellent. They also have a crab/seafood dip that's really good. Overall, still some solid menu items, but the oysters were a disappointment this time.
The food and service outstanding ! Started out with a dozen bluepoints , which were very fresh and tasty , then ordered a special of grilled fish platter of grouper , salmon , and redfish for the 2 of us , more than enough and had a side of fried okra , which was some of the best ever had . perfect night !

Service was prompt, staff made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in, and the parmesan crusted Scottish salmon was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the crème brûlée; truly a cozy, 5 star experience!
Andres was an excellent waiter and the food was delicious. 10/10.. we experienced seven different plates with no complaints!
It was good. Food just wasn't seasoned very well and I didn't feel like it was worth the price. Cocktail was amazing!
That food was good not great nothing very creative on the menu. Very noisy very crowded. We had to go outside and come back into our table. Our waiter Derek was awesome.
We had an amazing experience. Our waiter Andres' was amazing. We had the oyster sample, raw oysters, garden and Cesar salads, blackened Chilean bass and crepe brûlée for dessert. The food was amazing!
