Coalition Steak and Seafood

The food has really gone downhill at Coalition. We ordered the Delmonico steak which we have had enjoyed before. This time it was about 1/2” thick and overcooked. The grouper was two tiny pieces of fish - certainly not worth $42. Disappointed with the food - not sure why it's not good anymore.

Crab cakes are good. Server was wonderful. Can't remember his name...maybe Derek. He's funny yet attentive.

Great service, friendly staff great food. There was a little wait even though I made a reservation, but overall it was a great experience.

For the price the food and experience were only average. Tables are too close together which make it noisy and servers and patrons were bumping into my chair. I got the crab cakes at $55, sides were underwhelming. Cocktails prices were also above average. Shared appetizer, entree, and 1 margarita was $96.

The jumbo crab claws was good but not jumbo. The Coalition Crab Salad was excellent. The Peach Bread Pudding would have been great if real peaches were used instead of the purée

Outstanding! If you're looking for a place that truly nails both steak and seafood, this restaurant is it. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and professional without ever feeling rushed or overbearing. We started with the supreme oysters and they were as fresh as it gets that tasted like they were caught that morning. For mains, the filet mignon was cooked to a perfect medium-well with a beautiful crust and scrumptious jumbo lump crab, shrimp and creamy sauce to go along with it. Drinks were also top-tier—well-balanced cocktailsx The ambiance struck a great balance between upscale and relaxed, perfect for a date night or special occasion

The food was DELICIOUS! I the restaurant was recommended by a friend and it DID NOT disappoint! Devinn A. was our server and she was great, she answered our questions and made suggestions that were really appreciated since it was our first time (BUT definitely not our last).

We had reservations outside and a storm blew through. When it got so bad we had to go inside our server and the host put a table together for us even when the restaurant completely full. We were able to finish our meal without much disturbance at all. Great service. Great staff.

I booked our reservation for my mom‘s birthday. I'm not sure if the restaurant didn't get that. I didn't have a chance to let them know that it was her birthday. I don't know if they do anything special for that, but I felt like that part was overlooked. Other than that. The food was amazing. I didn't like the up charge of three dollars for extra bread with the crab dip, and the extra bread came out wasn't toasted. 

The seafoam cocktail I had was literally the best cocktail I've had in the state of Georgia! And yes, the food was delicious too

Ive been looking forward to dining at this place for awhile now, some items i had were good but it didnt really exceed my expectations. I dont think the value was worth the dish i had- i went with the ribeye special. I wish the quality of the steak was better in my opinion and the mash potatoes were thin, im not sure if they were made in house or not. But i will be back to try the other dishes! My server Juan was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable i appreciated his service a lot. I enjoyed the oysters the most.

Last night was my first time visiting Coalition and I had an amazing time. The bartender, Wes, made excellent drinks and we had great conversation. The food was excellent and most of all the chargrilled oysters had me wanting more.

As usual, the food and drinks at Coalition are always spot on. This is one of the best restaurants in Alpharetta for consistently creative menu offerings and great, friendly service. It's definitely pricey, but there's never a time that I've left wishing I'd ordered something else. In fact, my ONLY complaint is that every time I've dined here, whether on their outdoor patio or sitting inside, I'm always swatting away gnats/flies. This is understandable when I elect to sit outside, but why is this a problem inside?? Other than this small annoyance, I highly recommend Coalition, and it continues to be one of my go-to spots in downtown Alpharetta.

I scheduled a 7pm reservation to celebrate father's day this weekend. Even with a reservation we were not seated until about 7:30. We ordered the Oyster Rockerfeller (12) as an appetizer. They were so incredibly gritty that we couldnt enjoy them. I requested the Delmonico with seafood as my main course. Delmonico steaks are known for their thick cut, tenderness, and marbling. This steak was absolutely terrible. The cut of meat was cheap and was nothing like any Delmonico I'd ever experienced. The only positive thing about the experience was our server (Juan). He was a delight. This was my first time at Coalition and I am very disappointed.
