Dickey's Barbecue Pit

Food served cold, bread was not toasted and soggy, seats and tables in disrepair, coke machine watered down drinks, men’s bathroom out of service, women’s bath in disrepair missing toilet tank cover and safety rail falling off wall beside toilet. No need to message me back as it appears it has been this way for a good while with previous reviews and no change. Just avoid this location.

I ordered the chicken at the Windward location. I normally like dark meat, but I have had white meat at other places that was not so dry. The chicken was very dry here plus the attendant said that you don’t get a full breast because every meat serving is 6 ounces so he cut my chicken and left part of it off without weighing it at all. Highly disappointed I will not be coming here ever again. Sonny‘s barbecue is 100 times better.

This place has the tell-tale signs of going out of business. The tables were empty at lunchtime. No napkin holders or sauces were out. Several bench seats were ripped and stacked with boxes. The tea containers were completely empty and not brewing; the manager poured tea from a gallon jug from behind the counter.

And the food was sub-par. The pork BBQ was dry, and the rolls were NOT the hot, fresh yeast rolls that Dickey's is known for. They were room temperature, day-old (or x-frozen) grocery store dinner rolls. Yuk!

I usually love Dickeys BBQ, but this place was a big disappointment. It's clear this location is suffering from lack of business, and they are cheaping out to try and hang on. I feel for them, but don't plan on returning.

Dickey's Corp really should look into this location to see if they are violating franchise standards.

How is this place not permanently closed yet?

I visited the store to pick up my order and encountered an unacceptable level of service. The employee was rude and unprofessional, informing me that my order would take 10 minutes to prepare. When I chose to wait inside, he told me to leave the store. Instead of preparing my food, he spent his time on his phone. This experience was frustrating and disappointing. I hope management addresses these issues to improve customer service in the future.

im not one to leave bad reviews but i couldnt even finish my food and vomited after eating… meat was so dry i kept chewing forever. green beans smell expired and mac n cheese tastes like kraft mac n cheese. rly wanted to like this place but im physically sick after eating there… i would give it a zero but the staff was polite!

Order from Uber eats, and the food was burnt, not appealing at all and small portions

Meat was very dry and did not have any flavor at all. It was also very cold. It looked like it belongs in a prison cafeteria. The potato salad tasted like it came from a grocery store and was the only good thing to eat. We honestly threw the food out and went to eat at 5 Guys. Would have asked for money back but didn’t think they would give it back.

Dickey's use to be a great franchise back in the day. But something bad has happened in recent years. And the food quality and taste are not the same. It's sad to watch.

That gift card for Dickey's BBQ since Christmas or maybe my birthday, in December. I think they have a new one owner here? It was different than the other 20 times I've been there, while in the Kennesaw area.Although the free ice cream machine has long gone since covid & the Coke machine went berserk after filling my big yellow Dickies cup, food was good, service was good, bathroom was clean, prices went up but I'll pay a little more for good food and good service..I'll be back, sorry about your Coke machine. After filling my big, yellow cup, it started relentlessly squirting raw soda water everywhere! Somebody didn't tighten something or set it up correctly. Coca- Cola machine seemed new or maybe just clean, IDK ? The Coca-Cola I did have was cold & delicious. Not much better than a soda machine w/ Coca-Cola & crushed ice.!I'll be back. Food was cold and brisket had literal bone shards in it. Place felt like a liminal space. Line was fast and effective but also I was the only one in the place so.

This place is horrible. It’s scary when you first walk in. Nobody greets you because nobody isn’t there at first. The food looks like jail food. They don’t really have lights in there. It’s very creepy to the point I had to get my money back and let them keep that nasty looking food. They also have an older lady there who looks mad uncomfortable working there. They really need to close down cause I know they don’t have no customers the way all the reviews looking.

Absolutely horrible!!! Purchased 2 meat plate. Sliced brisket and pulled pork w/ okra and slaw. Both of my meats were cold, chewy and looked like they were cooked about a week ago. The slaw was warmer than the meat. I could not eat. The guy making plates microwaved the meat on my plate as if i was going to eat it. Gross. Completely lost my appetite. You can get better quality food from the soup line downtown. Did not trust the meat or the slaw. Too risky. recommend never coming here. A waste of $13. YUK!!!!
