Absolutely perfect atmosphere and overall experience for an authentic Japanese restaurant. I highly recommend and you must try their fried rice and the salmon rolls were delicious!

Edo makes me feel like I am back in Japan. The food is amazing, and the atmosphere is the best I have seen in the US. Really a special place.

Edo offers a beautiful Edo-period inspired setting & a menu with some impressive highlights …think fish flown in from Japan, certified A5 wagyu from Japanese Black cattle, soba, ramen, yakitori, & tempura. Our server, Ethan, was absolutely amazing …personable, attentive, & made the evening feel special. The sushi rolls were fresh but fairly average, & the salmon roe was a bit overused, appearing on most of the dishes we ordered. Still, the overall experience was enjoyable, and I’m looking forward to coming back to try more of their offerings. Check it out for authentic vibes & food that showcases every ingredient at its freshest.

This Japanese restaurant in Alpharetta is excellent!!!
It’s a high end, worth the money for Japanese food lovers with authentic food, great service, peaceful atmosphere. We tried different plates to share so we could test the big selection of food. Beautifully decorated!! At the entrance it has a gift shop with gorgeous original pieces from Japan. I got a vase to add to my Japanese collection items. We will be back!!

If you go this place for food, I wouldn't recommend dining in here. Food is mediocre while they priced their food par at Michelin restaurants. Servers are kind, atmosphere's good, but that's all. It's like one of those restaurants with fancy deco then priced their food very expensive to make up the cost they built the place. Their sushi rice is just a regular sticky rice, for example. No seasoning at all. I saw the other review saying Kroger level food, their sushi really is Kroger level. Only food I thought good was chicken thigh yakitori, but then they were charging ridiculous amount for a couple of tiny skews. I wanted to give 1 star but gave 2 since servers were very kind in spite of food quality. Don't fall for the atmosphere!

This place is an amazing spot for Alpharetta! Even better it’s not in the over crowded “downtown” Alpharetta.

chirashi bowl good 👍 fresh sushi
fish inside the rolls fresh
the rolls themselves were not so good though
i would not come here again personally. hostess was very kind
Very authentic! Great atmosphere, reminiscent of the great Edo-style restaurants I’ve sampled in Tokyo. The menu is very extensive, and the service is courteous and attentive. But best of all, the food was excellent. The star of the show was the Bluefin Tuna Toro Sushi and the Yellowtail Sashimi. Here are the details:
Superb (A+):
Bluefin Tuna Toro Sushi
Yellowtail Sashimi
Excellent (A):
A5 Wagyu Beef Aburi Roll
Yellowtail & Mango Roll
Bluefin Tuna Carpaccio
Very Good (A-):
Wagyu Beef Udon
Spicy Tsukemen
Shishito Pepper Yakitori
Assorted Vegetable Tempura
Shrimp Tempura
Truffle Potato
Wagyu Beef Fried Rice
Before tipping, we paid $275 for a four-person meal (no alcohol or dessert). We’ll be returning to Edo soon enough!

Great vibes and super cute interior design. However, the food was just mediocre. You’re definitely paying for the atmosphere rather than the food itself. The udon and ramen were both ok. Not a fan of the broths. Probably the chicken skewers were the best part of the meal!

The atmosphere was on point hands down but the service was lacking and the food was horrible. My wife found a piece of plastic in her rice and when she spoke to the manager she admitted it was not the first time this has happened.

Food was amazing! It was so beautifully prepared, fresh, and flavorful. Our server was on it and extremely nice! It was an enjoyable dinner. The only draw back was it was fairly dark inside. We’ll definitely go back and try to sit on the 2nd or 3rd floor- really neat place!😊

Went here on a whim! Didn’t know what to expect but came in and was amazed at how the setting was! The way the tables were set up definitely had ALOT of space to move around.

Amazing venue with beautiful details. You definitely feel like you are in Japan. Unfortunately the food and cocktails need some work. It's newish, so maybe it will get better with time. I'll try again a few months and update. It's still worth a visit and maybe we just caught them on a bad night.
