I am from New York City so I know what a pastrami sandwich should look and taste like and I also know what a Reuben sandwich should look and taste like. Both of these sandwiches were lacking in taste, and for the amount of money we paid for the sandwiches we should have received nice portions. This is not a place to go to if you’re looking for an authentic New York deli. I should have read the reviews first.

This place has gone downhill. I’m not sure what happened but we used to eat here almost weekly. It’s close to work and the food was good. We stopped going because they would often get our orders wrong, and for the price point you kind of expect your deli sandwich the way you ordered it. We didn’t go for months, and decided to try again. Every diet or sugar free soda selection was out. The tea tastes like they haven’t washed the containers in ages. The sandwiches are sloppy, with most of the deli meat piled high on one side and none on the other—multiple people in our group had to “remake” their sandwiches. Don’t bother needing a condiment, you won’t get it. The fruit was not fresh—the pineapple was sour/rotten. The pickles were mushy and gross, and tasted like they have gone bad. I don’t know how you can mess up deli sandwiches this badly, but they manage it. Skip this one and go somewhere else.

Solid lunch spot. Got it to go. Staff was nice. Order came out quick on a busy day. Split the grouch and buffalo panini. Will be back.

The Pastrami sucks. The only flavor it has is a sour old flavor. I love pastrami and had some of the best in the world including Katz in New York and Langers in LA. As well as Bastrama in Istanbul, Turkey. Grouchy's wasn't even as good as Jason's Deli or Firehouse subs pastrami. Horrible and maybe even rancid. Never again.

We wanted to hit a local deli for breakfast and tripped across Grouchy’s. From a foot/car traffic perspective, it was very light. As we entered, the appearance was an “old deli”; yes, I’m inferring sort of showing its age as well. I had the protein omelette and wife the veggie bowl. The food was okay (after sending it back once as it was the wrong ingredients). The bagel didn’t have that tough outer that I was missing from a NY deli. All in all, after $19, it’s an okay place.

HORRIBLE food, really the worst meal I’ve had in a long time. It pains me to write a review like this because it’s not great for a local business, but man was my sandwich gross!
I ordered the Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich and it was this HUGE chicken breast. I know that normally would sound good (you want a chicken sandwich to contain a lot of chicken right?!), but the chicken breast was clearly very poor quality, with that “gamey” taste you get from bad quality chicken. I peeled the cheese off and saw ZERO grill marks or color, which makes me believe the chicken was not grilled but rather boiled, which it tasted like. It was essentially all boiled chicken with a touch of the other toppings.
I also ordered a black and white cookie which I was really looking forward to after my not great sandwich, but it sealed the deal for me. The cookie was wet and tasted like fragrant plastic! My husband had a bite too and we both made a face, it couldn’t have tasted MORE like plastic. Truly bizarre.
All this to say, do not waste your time or money here. I only gave it 2 stars as my husband got a pastrami sandwich and his experience was good, so I thought 1 star wasn’t fair.

Best knishes in Atlanta bar none. The only place within 500 miles that earns the right to consider itself a NY style delicatessen.

Heads up, prices on the menu board directly behind the counter are lower than what this restaurant charges. Cashier said prices are subject to change, nothing they can do about it.
Nothing g really stands out. I'm a NY'er but this doesn't resemble any restaurant I ate in. How can one critique a kosher salami on a bagel? Although it is difficult to find kosher salami in
