STAY AWAY!! I’ll NEVER eat here again! The restaurant has changed hands.
New menu - very limited.
New kitchen - poor quality and portions are minimal (see updated pics)
Hardly any bean curd in one dish and super oily. The other was so hot you could hardly eat it.
Biggest waste of $38.79 I’ve ever spent.

I've only had the Vegetable dumplings and the dry dried cauliflower. Wow the cauliflower is one of my favorite dishes ever! Fried to perfection and seasoned so yummy and spicy.

Terrible service - this restaurant used to be called Hai and now is Bao Gogo so a rebrand of the same. The food has always been good but service was absolutely atrocious under the Hai brand. The service now is interesting since the server specifically requested I provide a tip in cash and also gave me an attitude when I arrived. I am not going to go back here - plenty of options where restaurants care about their customers in the area.

I ordered delivery tonight and specifically called ahead to request no spice or very little spice on the Bamboo Flounder. The restaurant confirmed this was possible.
The reality was the complete opposite. The Bamboo Flounder was extremely spicy and filled with an unbelievable quantity of hot peppers, which I had to pick out just to try and eat it. Shockingly, it wasn't just that dish—every single entree we ordered contained a similarly excessive amount of spice and peppers.
The food was inedible, and my specific instructions were completely disregarded. It was a total waste of money. This level of inattention to a customer's request is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this restaurant and will not be ordering from here again. (The only saving grace was the wonton soup, which thankfully arrived without any peppers.)

I stopped by here for lunch while working out this way twice, and both times the food was wonderful. Although I don't know enough about bao to order them I had two different dishes from their more standard Chinese food offerings. They were both quite good. I also recommend the hot and sour soup if you enjoy that sort of thing, as theirs was some of the best I've had.

Really sweet server Alice! Compared my smile to a Malay artist. Had lots of fun joking around and the food is very good. Note under new management only cash tips!

Love the food at Bao GoGo in Alpharetta! You don’t have to travel to Duluth or Buford Highway to enjoy authentic, high-quality Chinese cuisine. My favorites include the spicy numbing flounder and stir-fried green beans, among many others. The spice level can be adjusted if you ask, so it’s perfect for any taste. I usually grab a boba tea from the same plaza, which pairs perfectly with the meal. The staff is friendly and attentive, making it an all-around great dining experience!

Restaurantji Recommends
Spicy and ma-la items taste pretty authentic. The scallion pancakes and off-menu baby bok choy with tofu skin were great dishes dishes to counteract the spice. Definitely some unique items to try again.

This is the same location and amazing food as HAI, only under a new name! True, authentic Asian food at reasonable prices. And our server, ALICE is the sweetest! We loved her and will be back soon!

First time here, but it was really good. Surprised that it is a different taste from what is out there and is really good to have something different in the Chinese food. The waitress, Alice, was really sweet and attentive, she makes you feel very good in the place.

A total hidden gem!!! If you want really good, authentic Chinese and Sichuan food in Alpharetta, you have got to come here.
Cute, clean interior with a great weekday lunch menu.
Alice made us feel like family and this has absolutely become one of my new regular spots!
The dry fried eggplant is the best I've had in a restaurant, and Grandma's Noodles are the perfect, spicy and vinegary hand pulled noodles to share. The chicken soup dumplings are so comforting and satisfying, and the steamed pork buns are so light and fluffy.
