Went for lunch and had their sushi special which is very reasonably priced and it did not take long. I definitely would recommend to a friend and will be returning!

Ordered the Habachi chicken and shrimp with fried rice and veggies. The chicken was yummy! Everything else flavorless. And the customer service is horrible. Paul assisted me with my call in order and at the restraunt. Nasty, nonchalant short attitude. Needless to say I will not be back to this establishment.

Very nice staff and good sushi. The lunch specials are good and drink specials too. Worth checking out in the Grassland shopping center.

Ordered takeout from here the other night - got the hibachi steak and what arrived was an abomination of a meal. The steak appeared (and tasted) either boiled or steamed, and definitely didn't taste like it came off a hibachi. It was a gross grey color that just didn't look right. The rice it came with was good, but I couldn't eat more than 2 pieces of the steak because it was that bad (and I'm honestly not that picky). Huge waste of money, and I went to bed hungry.

The food was the absolute worst hibachi on the planet. I can't explain how bad the smell and taste of the chicken was. We threw it out right when we received it. Burnt fish maybe is the closest description I can come up with. The soup was equally as bad. Waste of a lot of money.

Coming from Chicago and some serious non- Benihana Japanese Steakhouses, Kobe does not disappoint. Friendly staff, fast service, and fantastic food. A definite spot to take the family or a special someone.

I've been dying for hibachi. Kobe Steak and Sushi Bar came highly recommended by the Yelp Machine. The reviews looked great. The name evokes a lot of promise. I like the design of the interior, but I also was slightly disappointed. I was looking for the dinner and a show type of hibachi experience. My personal fault of course for not checking the pictures more carefully. Kobe Steak and Sushi Bar has a very big menu with an incredible sushi selection. I went with the Filet Mignon and Lobster because of course I would. Fried rice costs $2 extra, but it's usually worth it. I love hibachi fried rice. My basic friend ordered the Spicy Tuna Roll and Philadelphia Roll in spite of there being so many cooler, more unique options. Sushi is sushi, and it's pretty hard to mess up basic rolls. The hibachi was, frankly, just below mediocre. Filet was pretty good. Lobster probably could've been cooked a little less. The vegetables were very salty. My palate is significantly less sensitive than average. Can't imagine how it tastes for the normies. You know the absolute worst part of the experience that drags this just below 3 stars? The fried rice absolutely sucked! My goodness, was I sad. It'd be one thing if the fried rice didn't cost extra like most places, or at least contained protein like it does at Benihana. I'd be potentially interested in exploring more sushi. The hibachi left a lot to be desired.

This place has the worst sashimi I've ever had. The sushi is also not good. Please don't get the sushi and sashimi combo. It's horrible. Get sushi rolls here that might be good. They also took 25 minutes to serve me 18 pieces of sliced fish in that combo. Horrible efficiency, below average food, and service was mid tier.

Good sushi, and very fair prices!

Tried shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, spicy salmon and salmon roll and everything was very delicious and fresh! Also, pan fried shumai (appetizer) was excellent! Definitely coming back soon!

Good lunch spot with daily specials on food and drinks. Food is good but not great in my opinion. My only real issue is they don't offer low sodium soy sauce for their sushi.

Me and my friend went out for sushi and hibachi a couple days ago and it was okay. I asked the lady if we could sit outside since it was a pretty day outside she refused. My friend asked for the drink menu and she gave it to him but when we were ready to order she said the bartender couldn't make them. The food was okay the portions are pretty small and you have to continue asking for sauces and items.

Really excellent and deserves for a lot more people to discover it. I think part of the problem is that its location is more Cumming than Alpharetta, being on Hwy. 9 just north of the McFarland intersection. Things have been changing but this is still a more BBQ and PBR area than something as receptive to an "exotic" thing like this. If it were some 4 miles or so south among the new-townhome forest of downtown Alpharetta it'd be the talk of the town, but the rents would probably be higher as well. I went for the most expensive item on the menu - the scallop, filet mignon and lobster hibachi dinner at $30.95. Also comes with salad and miso soup. Everything was great, and it's a perfect kind of special-occasion dinner for a good price. I'd gotten the confidence to try the most expensive thing from a previous visit when I tried the poke appetizer (good but kinda French-portioned), the house fried rice and one of the sushi rolls. The menu overall looks like what you see in many places in a city out west like Las Vegas (some with all you can eat options), but it's still a novelty for a place like Alpharetta-Cumming. There's also the $4 martini special that includes cosmopolitans and the like, which is off-limits to me on doctors' orders but goes right along with the idea of a splash-out meal. Most of the time I'd probably get the sushi rolls or something with sashimi, but the best hibachi dinners are hard to beat. Service has always been cheery, though with Asian owned/run places there's a tendency to keep it in the family as much as possible and the weakness there is that if too many customers show up at once it could overwhelm the staffing. There might be some risk of that at the weekend peak times, but weekdays and even most of the weekend time still looks OK. Prices are very reasonable for what you get.
