So, we went on Saturday. A good sign right off the bat: the place was packed. Service lagged just a bit due to the full house, but nothing worth complaining about. It took them a minute to get to us, but once they did, everything went smoothly. We ended up there serendipitously. I had been searching for “interesting” new gastronomic options in Alpharetta and Peachtree Corners—and this is what came up. They had me at Uzbekistan and Xinjiang. I’m an adventurous eater, and I was genuinely awed by the fried rice that landed in front of me. The Moroccan tea service was an attraction in itself. As for the appetizers, they were a bit too similar for my taste, but many of the others on the menu looked appealing—I’m definitely willing to try more. I loved the food, the experience, the service. And did I mention these brave folks have only been open for three weeks? They’re running the place like pros. I am going back.

Food tasted amazing. Every dish tasted different. Keep it going.
Forgot 2 dishes we ordered due to be over pack for Mother’s Day. Food tasted so good that we even forgot about it!
Must try it out.

We were really excited to try this place. We came here on Mother’s Day to celebrate. The waitress that we had was nice and it wasn’t her service that was disappointing but the overall experience. We had a group of 6 adults and 3 kids, had a reservation but needed to wait an additional 15 min after reservation time to get seated, granted we were there 15 min early. The wait was not the reason for the bad experience, we understand that it gets busy on the weekends. Kids ordered milkshakes (which were $8 on the menu and they tasted like heavy cream with distant sweetness and were not at all frozen but had the consistency of milk), again, this is not a milkshake place so we let it slide. Next we ordered the eggplant salad which had a very nice flavor but for the portion size was overpriced at $15. The mojito drinks were tasty but also overpriced at $8 a drink. The plov had a nice flavor and we actually enjoyed it. When we asked about ordering the shawarma on the plate we were told “we are not serving this right now because the kitchen is too busy to put it together” we said we could wait but were told no. Instead we ordered multiple different kebabs (there were 5 different kebab orders, two people of had multiple kebabs) when the kebabs arrived they were all smushed together on a plate and handed to the two people who had ordered the multiple kebabs, they started eating and then were were told that ALL the orders were plated on those two plates!!!! Not only was this super confusing but frustrating. When we asked why this happened, we were once again told “it was because the kitchen was too busy”. Some of our party left without eating there order due to the confusion. I had really high hopes for this place but unfortunately we won’t be coming back. I hope that others have a better experience but unfortunately for us the food, the drive and the price is just not worth it.

Horrible experience. We spent over 300$ for absolutely nothing. They combined 4 orders of kebabs on one plate “to share” milkshakes tasted like pure milk with no flavor. They were out of half of their menu. Will not be coming back. Not worth the drive.

Laghman Express is absolutely amazing. True gem for Uzbek cuisine. The lagman was rich and comforting, the plov perfectly seasoned, and the manti tender and flavorful. The atmosphere was warm, and the service attentive. Highly recommended!

Lagman Express is the latest buzz among Halal foodies in town—and now I know why! At first glance, I thought we were walking into a Chinese restaurant, but to my surprise, this place serves authentic Uzbekistani cuisine. And let me tell you, it’s a delicious discovery.
We started with the fried wontons, which were incredibly crispy and flavorful!! I honestly lost count of how many I ate. To drink, we tried the Moroccan tea. It had a fruity, tangy twist that paired surprisingly well with the fried dishes.
One of the highlights for me was the saucy beef noodles (I forgot the exact name), but it was rich, hearty, and full of flavor—definitely a favorite. We also ordered a chicken dish called Ganfan, which was just the right portion size after those heavy noodles and tasted absolutely delicious.
The lamb pulao was a bit on the bland side for me, but interestingly, my kid loved it, so I’d still consider it a win.
Overall, Lagman Express delivers a fresh and flavorful take on Central Asian cuisine, and it’s quickly become one of my top spots for Halal eats. Can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu!
