I live in downtown Alpharetta and find myself at Lapeer 2–3 times a month. As someone who considers himself a true foodie, I have to say—Lapeer serves some of the best-tasting food I’ve ever had.
At home, my wife and daughters (like probably many wives and daughters) say my steaks are the best. But I’ll be the first to admit—Lapeer’s steaks, especially the filets, are on another level. The quality, flavor, and tenderness are absolutely incredible.
And the oysters? Everyone I know agrees—they’re the best, hands down. Add in top-notch drinks, exceptional sides, and a staff that nails it every time, and you’ve got a dining experience that’s hard to beat.
One thing I’ll never quite understand is how I can walk in on a Friday evening and still snag a seat for two at the bar. And if you haven’t tried their frozen espresso martini, do yourself a favor—stop in for a nightcap. You’ll be back.
Not trying to make it harder for me to get that Friday bar seat—just giving credit where credit is due.

Wonderful meal! Some in our party had steaks, cooked perfectly and good quality. The others had the seafood plateau, which had a wide variety of items, all super fresh and flavorful. The sides were moderately sized but very tasty, service was good, cocktails were fine. I'd say just a tad priced over the value but still a great overall experience and would probably return

Food was great! Drink service was a bit slow. Took about 30 minutes to get our first round of drinks. Other than that, everything was great.

I've dined at LaPeer multiple times and it's long been one of my top recommendations in the Alpharetta area. The food and service have always been reliably excellent — until tonight. I was entertaining vendors and started the evening on a high note with a great selection of oysters and calamari. Wanting something hearty, I ordered the filet medium rare with the blue cheese topping. Unfortunately, that's where things took a turn. The blue cheese topping was overwhelmingly salty — to the point of being inedible — and completely overpowered the steak. To make matters worse, the filet was cooked medium with no pink at all, not the medium rare I ordered. I politely mentioned to our server that the blue cheese had ruined the steak, but she simply shrugged. When she returned to clear the plate (mostly untouched), I pointed out the overcooked steak and again expressed my disappointment. Still, no apology, no acknowledgment — just a smile and silence. Sadly, this experience completely soured my excitement for LaPeer. It's disheartening to see such a great spot drop the ball like this. I won't be returning anytime soon, nor will I continue recommending it as I have in the past

The bar staff here is always amazing! They can handle volume with a smile and still do a great job. Great to see a GM who gets back behind the bar to help out staff. Can’t recommend enough
