We visited Marlowe’s Tavern in Avalon for the first time on Tuesday night and had a great experience! Shika was an attentive and friendly server and her service made our night. The cherry on top was the appetizer on the house that the chef had brought out upon learning it was our first time visiting Marlowe’s. The staff was welcoming, the food was delicious, and we will definitely be returning.

I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback regarding my visit this evening. I’ve been coming to Marlow’s Tavern for quite some time, and my experiences are typically excellent especially over the past few weeks during the evening hours. Unfortunately, tonight was a different story. The service was extremely disappointing. I was treated with a lack of attentiveness and professionalism that I’m not accustomed to at this establishment (possibly because i’m older). There appeared to be far too many inexperienced staff members on duty, creating a careless atmosphere that diminished the dining experience. My meal, which is usually served promptly and hot, arrived cold after sitting in the window for quite some time. I’ve always enjoyed visiting Marlow’s, but this visit fell well short of the standards I’ve come to expect.

Horrible service to many young people who don’t care about their job. On top of that my Caesar salad had plastic wrap in it one time. After multiple times of trying this place it continuously shows it’s not worth the time. Too many other places at the Avalon so there isn’t even a point wasting time to come here.
The chicken panini was fire! Asparagus fries felt very oily but the truffle fries were again amazing! The veggie veggie burger was also very good

We went in and were told it was a 30 minute wait time and we ended up waiting over an hour due to customers who already cashed their tabs out. We had a diabetic with us who needed to eat soon and they were very unconcerned with our circumstances. We understand not rushing people but don’t tell us 30 minutes when it’s going to be almost an hour and a half later. As someone who has been in the food industry for years this was the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had and was handled very poorly. Would not EVER recommend.

Always full so plan ahead and expect a 30-60 minute wait. Well worth it great food, full bar and many dit cocktails-mocktails. Huge portions enough to share should you want. Excelent service although the place was over crowded Don’t miss the asparagus fries!!
