First, Service was good, but seemed a bit rushed. Couldn't really ease into my meal. Second, Seating along the right wall, all 2 tops with bench seating were a bit tight as I could literally reach over to the next table and grab their soy sauce, let alone be a part of the conversation. They could afford to lose a table and space them out more. I get it... more tables = more money, but.... It's all about the experience that keeps us coming back, right? Third, my ginger...
Took friends and had an amazing meal, however, the service was absolutely atrocious. We spent over $350 for 3 people and our waiter never filled our waters or took away dirty plates. I even asked him to clear our table before desert and he took a few plates and never came back to get the rest. He didn't take them even when he brought the desert. At this price point. I expected more. Disappointed.
This restaurant is special and not to be missed if you're at Avalon! The nigiri was fantastic - melt in your mouth fish with complex and delicious complementary flavors. I loved the black cod - cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!
