Now you can enjoy the fabulous NFA burger at an indoor, sit down location with table service!
Excellent food quality and taste to Billy’s exacting standards.
The burgers at NFA Burger are delicious, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with a lot of pride. The old-school burger joint vibe is fun and inviting, and it’s easy to see why people rave about the food.
That said, the wait time was much longer than anticipated for a quick bite, and while I was happy to be patient, I checked reviews while waiting and was honestly surprised by what I found. Several customers had left helpful, constructive feedback about ways to improve the new location’s operations, but the owner’s responses were shockingly rude, defensive, and dismissive.
It’s disappointing to see that kind of reaction/response. A willingness to listen and grow is key for any business, especially one with such a great product.
The food alone is worth trying, but I hope the leadership becomes more open to feedback and shows the same care to customers that they put into their burgers
We ate outside and despite a busy afternoon, we had no trouble getting a table at the railing overlooking the green. Burgers and Fries were fantastic and a very worthy splurge. We were so excited by our burgers, we forgot to get pictures! 😂 😂
Drove 20 miles got to door guy at door hands you a menu and then tells you that after you order it is a 50 minute wait for your burger. Line was long so could be another 20 minutes to order. There were a lot of people who were sitting waiting on their food. Not going to wait that long for a burger. Need to get their kitchen in in gear. Better look at chick fil la. Not coming back any time soon.
The food was great and the staff was very friendly. It’s so nice having a more affordable option at the Avalon other than just pizza. The place just opened with a lot of hype so a long line was to be expected and they still have a few things to work out. Anyone complaining about that in bad reviews must have unrealistic expectations for newly opened businesses.
Pretty solid. Burgers are good, but the sauce is a little acidic for my taste. Seasoned crinkle-cut fries are good but not made in-house (they are SureCrisp). Very good service! No need to clear your own table. No cash accepted.
Knew there was a new restaurant at Avalon to replace Goldbergs but didn’t know the name. Success, it’s NFA Burger!! Greeted at the door with a lovely young lady who welcomed us and gave us a menu to peruse. We sat outside and read it. Nice menu, nice choices. But I would suggest reading the menu inside while waiting in line. There was a line but it moved quickly. The inside is roomy with plenty of seating. We placed our order and decided to eat outside because it was a lovely day. Plenty of seating outside and the stools were padded and comfortable.
When the food arrived,it was hot and exactly as ordered. My Jersey dog was larger than expected and came with raw onion as I asked for. The bun was toasted and much better than the usual bun. The fries were hot and crinkled, a plus👍🏻. The bosses burger also came as ordered and she said it was delish.
Overall the food, the staff, the ambiance and the prices were all better than expected. Please visit, you will not be disappointed.
I was really excited when I heard a new burger spot was opening up at Avalon. Upon arrival, the store seemed like it was closed, it wasn’t very inviting. When I entered, the layout of the store was very odd. There was a lot of open space to have to walk further down to a counter and then order the food. I would’ve wished that there was a big menu on the wall to read vs every customer having to grab a paper menu to then give it back to the cashier after ordering. I also noticed that there was no type of condiment bar, I ended up grabbing napkins and straws right behind person taking orders. In terms of the food, it was just alright. I appreciate that the food was cooked in beef tallow, but it was super super greasy. One thing that I did really enjoy was the service. All of the staff was really nice and attentive. I’m looking forward to coming back again to hopefully have a better experience.
Wife wanted to try new burger place after watching Burgers with Buck on Fox 5. After 25 minute wait in line and 30 more minutes after placing order we received our burgers. My burger was so badly burnt it really couldn’t be recognized as being beef.
My wife’s tater tots were so over done that they basically fell apart when you tried to pick it up with a fork. I’m sorry I tipped at the beginning. $30 wasted, never again. BEWARE
I enjoyed it. I like the smashburger with burnt ends taste. The prices were great considering where it is located. A hearty eater needs to know that the triple is the way to go. The pattys are smaller than a craft burger joint. They could use Coke freestyle or two for their beverages. The can Coke and water bottle is okay and priced good for a restaurant but people these days like better options. The young staff were great. Even when they had to run all around the place trying to find who the food in their hand went to. I recommend it. I recommend the Belgian waffle too. Yes, it's small but they taste very good, and I've even had waffles in Belgium. I believe their product will open the door for more locations in the future. I'm Not Foolin Around!

Tried this new burger joint in the Avalon, which has been the hype on social media, the restaurant was started in a gas station and this is their 1st brick and mortar store. The burgers and tots were amazing
We had a great experience here. We had to wait in line but we didn’t care! It’s worth the wait! I guess I don’t get why lines are a big deal? What’s the rush lol. Anyways, everyone was really welcoming, the staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was really good, amazing burger and love that they fry in beef tallow!!! Amazing. The milkshake was SO GOOD. My husband and I both agreed it beats chick fil a,DQ or Culver’s milkshake.
Also the atmosphere was great to me. There was dim lighting, and it wasn’t loud.
And I would 100% bring my family and saw many families enjoying it!! I wish it was closer to me. So good👏🏼
food is incredible, but good lord whoever is replying to reviews needs a reality check haha. no need to fight back on a 4 star review, that’s above average.
Probably my favorite burger in the city, we've been to the gas station location before but brought friends to the Avalon opening day 6 and the entire crew thought it was the best burger in the city. Their fries are great, the beef talon comes through, the burgers are the obvious standout. They're beefy, well seasoned and the typical toppings compliment the beef richness. This was out of the way for us and it was a bit of an inconvenience to park and go to but it was worth it despite that, if you're craving a burger. I've tried Fred's, The Vortex, Grindhouse, etc, it's worth checking out since we don't have enough high quality smash burgers in this city.
Never been here but the owner stands on business and I support that
