THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED. I booked a nice evening here for my wife's birthday. Arrived to find the door locked and a note I'm on the door stating they are closed. They need to shut down the OpenTable reservations so others don't arrive hungry only to have to hunt for another place unexpectedly.

We were able to reserve on OpenTable and saw that it was open on Google but guess what... when we showed up it was closed with a sign in the windows. Even as of today August 20th at 3:52 p.m. on Google it is saying the restaurant is open for business. I'm having to dispute my OpenTable deposit that I had to pay to even try to reserve this restaurant very unhappy do not recommend.

The ambience is always nice ,music choice as well ,I got a well dressed Burger,honey glazed Brussel Sprouts which were really good.Can't wait to come back during lunch time.

After seeing awesome stuff on IG I decided to go and try them out. I wish I was able to experience their food, but unfortunately I didn’t get to after going to their restaurant at 4:53 PM on a Sunday when their business hours say that they don’t close until 9 PM. This restaurant was closed. Please update your business hours because everybody who wants to try your food don’t live in that neighborhood. I had to travel a great distance just to get there to be disappointed.

Reserved a private room for Saturday 8/17 on OpenTable a week or so before that date. Was charged $25 at that time for the private room. Showed up last Saturday to find this note on the front door: "This establishment is currently closed for business. We apologize for all inconveniences!" Bummer for them, wish them well. Can OpenTable kindly return the $25 please? Thx.

Had 8:45 reservations for my wedding anniversary. Gave my credit card details 2 days prior. Arrived to restaurant at 8:30pm only to find 78 completely closed. What a big joke. Really was not funny. How totally embarrassing it was. My wife was calm immediately booked reservations at little Alleys in Buckley to save the day.
My reservation was scheduled for 7:00pm I arrived at the location with my guests. The restaurant was closed, doors locked and completely pitch black. No sign on the door. It was upsetting and embarrassing. I will never return here again.

We made a reservation through OpenTable and then had to cancel it intending to reschedule for a later date, but it would not allow us to cancel through OpenTable, instructions were to call the restaurant so we did that but their phone number is out of service. So, tried contacting Palm 78 through their website and that also did not work to get a response. Sent them a message through their website and never received a reply back.

I wish I could tell you about the food and their drinks but unfortunately I wasn’t able to get any due to the immensely long wait. My party arrived for our reservation at 5pm on Wednesday and waited 20 minutes to be seated. We then waited another 20 before our waiter finally came to take our drink orders. Keep in mind he was the only person working (not including the cooks) yet it wasn’t even crowded in there. After he took our orders we were waiting for about 30 MINUTES and decided to just leave. What made it worse was one person from our party ordered an appetizer the same time we ordered drinks, and about 15 minutes after he left he came back saying they didn’t have that appetizer at this time. So we had no food, no drinks and waited over an hour in total. To say we had terrible service would be an understatement. Also keep in mind the person making the reservation had to put down $60 to reserve us. Even though they gave the $60 back it still doesn’t make up for the terrible service.

Micquel was great. The food not so much. The jerk egg roll was bland at best. It simply tasted like an unseasoned cabbage spring roll and the chicken within it was few pieces and dry. The sauce served with it somewhat slightly helped. I had rainbow trout. The trout was thin and overcooked, but it was seasoned. The brocollini was the best part of my entree. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I tasted my husband's rasta pasta dish. It was delicious. I'd considered getting that but didn't want to overload on carbs. My husband's drink was an old fashioned. He said he's had better. If I recall correctly, he'd also asked for a particular beer on draft, but they were out. His 1st entree choice was the short ribs. They were out of that as well. I had the Blue Ocean drink, I think it was called. It was decent. I was really hoping to like this place, as they have pretty good Google reviews and I follow Palm 78 on IG... However, I probably won't return. Visited on a Friday evening right before 7pm. Had a reservation, but host said she couldn't find it but could still seat us right away. It was pretty empty, not a lot of guests.

The restaurant appears to have closed permanently. It was disappointing to find that out after driving 45 minutes to get there. In additional to that I was looking forward to celebrating my birthday at the restaurant.
