My boyfriend & i were visiting & when i tell you this was the BEST service we’ve ever had!! This place was nothing like the place we’re used to & we loved that!! Our waiter was this guy named Patrick & he was AMAZINGGGGG!! Literally an angel & he literally waited on 4 tables at a time & still did an amazing job!! I definitely recommend giving this guy a raise or better yet, he should be manager.

My friends and I visited Palm 78 on the March 16th for a girls dinner date. We looked at several other places but settled on 78. I’m very glad that we did! When we got there I was a little unsure because it’s beside a Starbucks. However, when we walked in I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance! We made reservations and were seated promptly. We ordered calamari to start and I ordered the Tropical Oasis, I think. For my entree I ordered the Salmon w/ brussel sprouts and the Parmesan fries. We enjoyed our drinks and appetizers along with the live music! Our food took longer than expected, our server apologized for the delay and brought the table a round of St Patty’s Day shots. My entree was delicious! I was going to take a picture but I dove right into the plate! I also ordered another Tropical Oasis. I was pretty tipsy after the first one, but the second one took me over my limit! That drink is deliciously strong! I can not wait to go back! It’s a great place for a date night, birthday celebration, or whatever you want! I do have one qualm, it says that it’s a steakhouse. Unless I don’t know what a steakhouse is… 2 steaks on the dinner menu doesn’t qualify you to be a steakhouse.

DON’T LET THE REVIEWS FOOL YOU! The entire experience was heartbreaking for me, shattering what should have been a joyous celebration of my birthday and recent promotion. My husband arrived punctually for our reservation and me a few minutes afterward, only to discover our table had been given away because our entire group of had not arrived all at once, which felt like a slap in the face. But the true devastation struck when the hostess, a Black woman like myself, callously uttered a racially derogatory remark about "nxgger time" as the rest of our party arrived. The pain of being subjected to such discrimination, especially on a day meant for happiness, cut deep. And to add insult to injury, we endured a grueling wait for a table for 2 hours that we never received. The ultimate betrayal came when our food order never arrived, yet we were billed nearly $200 for items we never received. We disputed this and when asked if we could get the food since we paid for it, the waiter left and never came back. We waited another 20 minutes with nothing. They stated our drinks were already made and could not be taken off the tab. So we asked for the “already made drinks” and received nothing. They stated they would go and get the items and did not return once again. It felt like our trust and dignity were stolen right out from under us. With our spirits crushed, we made the heartbreaking decision to abandon our ruined evening, salvaging what little remained of my special day elsewhere. Thankfully, we found solace at Rumi's, where we were greeted warmly and treated with the respect and care we deserved. The contrast between the chaos of Palm 78 and the serenity of Rumi's was stark. I implore you, spare yourself the anguish and avoid Palm 78 at all costs. The unprofessionalism, disorganization, and blatant disregard for customers' well-being were utterly appalling. This was undoubtedly the most soul-crushing dining experience of my life. Despite our efforts to remain composed and respectful, we were met with callous indifference. Please, heed my warning and spare yourself the heartache. Stay far away from Palm 78.

The service experience was extremely and hopelessly bad. The staff seemed disinterested, the restaurant overbooked reservations and allocated tables that weren’t available. Shockingly, the hostess resorted to racial slurs. Despite waiting for over two hours, we weren’t served or even attended to for a drink. Some in our group waited over an hour for drinks they never received, and we were met with resistance when questioning the charges for undelivered items. The only redeeming aspect was the live entertainment. It’s regrettable that we couldn’t sample the food due to such poor service. I wouldn’t recommend this place and won’t return; it deserves a zero rating if possible.

The whole ordeal was beyond disappointing; it was a downright nightmare. Imagine looking forward to celebrating your wife's birthday and her recent promotion, only to have it marred by such incompetence and disrespect. We were there on time, as per our reservation, only to be informed that our table was given away because not every member of our party arrived simultaneously. This isn't some exclusive club; it's a restaurant, and this kind of policy is unheard of and frankly absurd. But the real kicker came when the hostess, who happened to be Black herself, made a racially derogatory remark about us being on "nxgger time" as the rest of our party arrived. Can you believe that? On my wife's special day, no less! It was humiliating and completely uncalled for. We were already reeling from that insult when we were then forced to wait an excruciating 2.5 hours for a table that never materialized. And as if that wasn't enough, we placed our food order, but it never came. Yet, when the bill arrived, we were charged nearly $200 for drinks and food that never made it to our table. It's outright theft, in my opinion. Fed up with the whole debacle, we decided to cut our losses and leave to salvage what was left of the evening. But the damage was done; my wife's birthday celebration was ruined, and her promotion milestone tainted by this appalling experience. Thankfully, we managed to salvage the night by heading over to Rumi's, where we were promptly seated, served, and treated with the respect we deserved. It was a stark contrast to the chaos and disrespect we endured at Palm 78. I cannot stress enough how much I advise against dining at Palm 78. The service was unprofessional, the staff disorganized, and it felt like they were cramming people in, potentially violating occupancy codes. This was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience of my life. Despite our unwavering respectfulness throughout the ordeal, we were treated like second-class citizens. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of Palm 78. Trust me; you'll thank me later.

It was a very nice experience. I would've just loved to known that for two people there was an 18% gratuity added they should definitely make that unknown factor when dining for two besides that the short ribs were delicious the espresso martini was impeccable and the atmosphere was lovely, they definitely need to clean up the patio but besides that wonderful establishment.

Food was excellent. Service was very, very slow. Look like only 1 server was working. No reason to charge automatic 20% tip. Overall not bad, so will give it another try. Hopefully, the service will be better.

I loved EVERYTHING about this place! The food was fabulously presented and fantastically delicious, the service was spectacular (as in 10 star), and the atmosphere was amazing! I can’t wait to return again and hear their live music. The maple salmon and grits were mouthwatering (apologies, I didn’t get a picture). Also a special mention: their coffee setup and presentation was very posh & pretty. Most of us wanted decaf so we ordered from their next door neighbors.

Worst drink ever it was straight bourbon w nothing else . Waitress was nice about it , I ordered something else , had to wait another 30 minutes . Bartendar had the worst attitude for that I won’t go back until they change the Bartendar .

The food was great, my wife and I just had one issue. Our server was new, so a little bit of grace to extend, however, there is one confusing element on the menu. It was the snapper and seafood dish. It is a dish meant for two, however, what the menu does not call out is the fact that if you order the single, everything is a-la-carte,and our server did not call it out. We did not realize it until a single fish, no sides or anything else came out. No super big deal- management took care of it and was very receptive. In all, an otherwise good experience overall. The live music was a nice touch. I'd definitely come back.

The 2 stars is based solely off the wonderful service that my server Patrick gave, and the wonderful decor and wonderful cocktails please keep the bartenders around they are excellent! Ok if it wasn’t for all that would be 0 stars please get a chef that actually seasons the food and for the price point I was extremely disappointed and left feeling like I just gave my money away not a good feeling at all! First for appetizer I ordered the Brussel Sprouts they were burnt I had to send them back next ordered lobster fettuccine when I tell you the portion was nice and looked delicious but when I tasted it 0 flavor! I mean zero! Even the ladies next to us ordered the same dish they said the same thing I really wanted to send this back but didn’t want to do that to my server Patrick I literally only had 2 bites never had to take my food home to try and see if I can season it and doctor it up! Not sure if it’s worth my drive from midtown to spend all this money and for my food to be horrible but do come and try the Tropical Oasis cocktail I just left highly disappointed. Again Patrick was wonderful.

We enjoyed ourselves. Food was great. I have a gluten allergy and I was able to eat the salmon and rice however, I would like to see more small plate options for customers with food allergies.

The food was the worst it has ever been. Seafood rice was undercooked had to send it back. Our poor server was the bartender and did the best she could. I didn't like the fact that we waited a long time for food and service but the Hostess basically told us that the rice would come out the same. Idk if she was trying to get us to not send it back but that was distasteful and it actually came out better when we sent it back. Idk if I will return anytime soon.

Valentine's Day “experience” is not the best time to evaluate, but for us it was very good overall considering with the price being up there. We came away satisfied with our evening but felt that the restaurant was still figuring some things out, which is completely understandable. Our experience was probably diminished by the fact that the musician's speakers were directly behind me, less than ten feet. That being said, the musician was very talented, our situation just made conversation imposible at times. The food was definitely creative in composition and presentation, with great sear on the scallop and steak. I did enjoy my filet with the serious sear on both sides and generous portion but was closer to MW than the MR requested. It must have had good marbling as it was still enjoyable. Corn chowder course was very tasty, perhaps the best I've had... very flavorful and textural. We shared the two desert options a both were excellent (red velvet brownie and fruit stuffed beignets). We may have to give it a try when it not the most challenging night of the year.
