Ponko Chicken Alpharetta

Ponko alway has the best chicken. The spicy is my favorite and I love the salads. You can also get chicken wings, tacos, tofu and they also have vegan sandwiches and hot dogs. I love their specialty teas and desserts. The staff is always friendly and helpful. This is a great restaurant for families too!!!!

I was in the area and wanted to try something new I came to Ponko chicken and when I say Roger the manager have great customer services and very professional the restaurant was clean and smell clean and sanitize food was fresh and fast I’ll definitely will be back keep up the great work guys

Exceptional Service from Tremontez at PONKO Chicken!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to take a moment to shout out one of the best workers I’ve come across; Tremontez at PONKO Chicken. From the moment I walked in, his energy and professionalism stood out. He greeted me with a genuine smile and positive attitude that instantly made me feel welcomed.

Tremontez was knowledgeable about the menu, answered all my questions patiently, and even offered helpful recommendations based on what I told him I liked. He handled my order with care, double-checked everything to make sure it was right, and kept the whole interaction smooth and friendly.

What really impressed me was his ability to balance fast, efficient service with such warm and respectful customer care. Even while handling other guests and multitasking behind the counter, he stayed calm, focused, and polite. That kind of consistency and pride in his work is rare these days.

PONKO Chicken is lucky to have someone like Tremontez on their team. He’s the kind of employee who leaves a lasting impression and gives customers a reason to come back—not just for the food, but for the experience. I’ll definitely be returning, and I hope he’s working every time I visit!

Honestly I had no plan on coming here yesterday, however the sushi restaurant was closed next door. This restaurant had such a welcoming feeling when I entered. The food verity are wonderful and the service is outstanding. The manager Roger was very helpful and made my experience great. More restaurants in the area need to offer exceptional service such as this place. I recommend anyone to go give it a try. I will be returning today for lunch as I promised Roger.

Yesterday evening I came in and ordered for my family. Also placed a catering order with the general manager of this location. His name is Roger. I didn’t know anything about the restaurant. I had a friend that comes to this restaurant and told me this would be a good place for me to have a catering done for my office. I’ve called this young man. He walked me through the menu. I spoke to him over the phone and I also came in to pay for my product. I’ve never dealt with any general manager of any location that is so personable. He was very honest about the menu. He told me everything how everything will go with the catering order. The place was clean we talked for probably about 10 or 15 minutes And it was an amazing experience with this young man anybody that comes to this restaurant asked to speak with the general manager Roger if you don’t know anything about Ponko Chicken he will let you know. I will always come back. I’m coming back for my 75th birthday party to have that catered And I recommend anyone to come to Paco Chicken, Alpharetta or any of the locations. This place is amazing amazing food. I will always recommend this place for great tenders. The atmosphere is very warm and cozy and I love to go to restaurants where it’s great customer service. The management team is involved with the other staff members. My food came out less than five minutes. It was hot. It was fresh and it was amazing. I recommend this place to anybody and it deserves five stars. Great job Roger.

Tremontez Made My Visit Amazing!

I had such a great experience at PONKO Chicken thanks to Tremontez! From the moment I walked in, he was welcoming, upbeat, and super professional. He made sure my order was exactly right and handled everything with a positive attitude and great attention to detail. You can tell he truly cares about providing excellent customer service. It’s rare to come across someone so genuine and dedicated—Tremontez really made my visit stand out. I’ll definitely be back, and I hope he’s there next time!

I truly wonder if management knows they won’t let you eat inside after 6pm or if they condone that behavior. I’m sure they won’t answer because if you think rice goes with chicken fingers you aren’t old enough to own a smart phone.

Walked in at 7:10 p.m. today when the posted close time is 9:00 p.m. We were told they are “carry out only after 7:00 p.m.” …
I have been here after the 7:00 time frame multiple times before and was able to dine in. Don’t know if this was just them trying to deter us from ordering or if this is actually a newly implemented rule. Either way, very disappointing.

I was disappointed in the meals we got at Ponko in Alpharetta! The sweet potato fries were flat and burnt. No one could chew them. The regular fries were a little better. The sticky rice was not at all sticky. They left the rice out of one of the meals. The chicken was good but way too salty. The carrot cake cup and the cold slaw were really good. We won’t go back to this location. I was the only one in the restaurant so it’s not like they were busy.

I had the pleasure of visiting Ponko while in Atlanta a little over a month ago. I met the owner, Patrick Sallarulo, and was immediately intrigued when he told me I was in for a treat with their healthy take on fried chicken.

The restaurant was attractive and clean, and the staff was welcoming and friendly. The menu offers a wide variety of tasty options beyond the chicken, including rice, slaw, vegan selections, and other delicious homemade sides—too many to list.

The chicken fingers were outstanding. Generously sized, breaded in panko, and fried in rice bran oil, they were moist, tender, and full of flavor.

If you’re in the Atlanta area, you’re in luck—Ponko has seven locations across the city, plus one in Auburn, Alabama. Treat yourself to what may be the best guilt-free fried chicken you’ll ever try!

Salad is nothing but lettuce and piles of wonton strips. Chicken is greasy and overcooked. Rice wasn't cooked all the way. Pieces are very small. Because it was 20 minutes before clising, the cashier was more interested in making sure that we understood that we couldn't eat inside and could only do take out than serving us. Not a great experience all around.

Panko needs to work with property owner to improve parking. Had a to-go order and there were 0 spots available except for valet for Rena’s. Was a bit of a frustrating to pick up my order. This I’m sure this negatively affects the non-Rena’s restaurants

What great service! They had just completed a massive order, but despite that the level of service was high quality, the 2 employees there were extremely efficient and had a great, positive demeanor. Thank you guys, and the food was spot on!
