Excellent location. Beautiful restaurant. Great service and wonderful food and cocktails. They even had a birthday card on the table.
We love Ray's. It's been a staple for us over the years. A few things seem to have slipped the past couple of visits. This one most notably. The food was empty in several of the hot bar items. This is something I've never seen before. Secondly, it took over half an hour for my omelet to arrive. We also had to flag our waiter for dinners and fresh coffee. Both things we have not had to do before. The food also seemed less tasty than usual. The chicken fingers weren't the same quality, they tasted like a fast food restaurant, as did the crab cakes. I'm not sure if the food vendors have changed, or if there are attempts to save money. But over all, it was disappointing and a glaring change from the last years. For the price it was lacking in service and quality.
Waitress & manager were outstanding Food was excellent except for steak. First steak was well done when requested medium rare and second one had sections that were rare & uncooked In addition, it was our 36 anniversary & they did not do or offer anything special which was disappointing in comparison to competitors
Service by Madelaine was amazing. Loved the buratta app, salad, steak and dessert. The new rolls were good but not great as they were in an iron skillet but not even warm. Not sure I would order them again.
Went for Sunday brunch to celebrate wife's birthday. I've been going to Ray's On the River since I was a kid. This outpost is just as good. Delicious food, service and atmosphere. Well worth a visit and will not wait so long to come back.
Our server Jae was amazing. Made us feel like we have been here before. Was very attentive and the food was top notch. We went with the Filet Mignon and the lobster Mac.
We always enjoy the Sunday brunch but I wish they would add the cold smoked salmon and the Caesar salad back to the buffet. All this other items were delicious as usual.
We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary with two other couples and no mention of this special event for us was acknowledged although we stated it when making our reservation, and then to our waiter at the table. Disappointed.
We had one of the best birthday meals ever! The seafood was so fresh and cooked to perfection, and the dessert was simply delicious, Our server was very nice and attentive. The bonus was the live music set up in the bar area! Thank you for the great birthday celebration!
Ray's continues to be our special occasion dining choice with their excellent menu and consistent preparation/service. Tried and loved the new carrot side dish! Nice addition, Chef!

Food (Gumbo, French Onion Soup, Red Fish, Crab Cakes, Praline Basket) was excellent. Great service. A bit pricey but worth it.
We had the pleasure of enjoying brunch at Ray's on the River today with friends, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! Our server, Liz, was exceptionally friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable about the menu. She provided excellent recommendations, including a variety of delicious cocktail options. The service was impeccable—our water glasses were always full, and the teamwork among the staff was truly impressive. Everyone pitched in to keep tables pre-bussed and maintained a cheerful, inviting atmosphere. The manager, Shannon, stopped by our table to ensure our experience was nothing short of phenomenal. It’s refreshing to see management actively engaging with guests, ensuring everything not only looked and smelled fantastic but also met the highest standards of hospitality. As a former server myself, I can confidently say this team is hitting every service benchmark and going above and beyond expectations. Hats off to Liz, Shannon, and the entire team for a memorable dining experience. Ball Ground, GA, applauds your excellence!
Truly a 5 star experience. Wonderful service and food. We enjoyed it so much that we might visit again tomorrow. Reasonable prices given the quality of the food. The wedge salad was one of the best I’ve ever had, a lot of blue cheese and dressing, with a drizzle of balsamic on top.
