The la galbi was mainly fat, and the kimchi tofu stew barely had any kimchi or soup. The restaurant looks very nice, but I wish the food was betterš

Great restaurant! Everything was delicious. The price it was also a great surprise. Just 4 stars because my daughter wanted to try the sushi and they are not offering it anymore. Please update the menus and pictures on Google. Nothing else to complaint.

Stumbled upon Jang Su Jang the other day and decided to try it out for date night this weekend!
Food: For our appetizer, we got the Spicy Rice Cakes and it was delicious. It comes with rice cakes, flat fish cakes, a red curry, a shrimp tempura skewer, pot stickers, and some noodles all the way at the bottom. This dish was so good! I was extremely impressed with the flavor. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Teriyaki (best Chicken Teriyaki I've ever had) and it came with a bunch of sides. We tried each one and they were all also very tasty. I especially liked the noodles and potatoes that came as a side. We also got a soup with the Chicken Teriyaki and it was phenomenal. For my entrƩe, I ordered the Yookgejang Kalguksoo (spicy beef soup with hand cut noodles). Out of everything we ordered, this was our least favorite dish of the night, but it was still good! For dessert, we got the Choco Temptation and it was a super light-weight, hazelnut and chocolate cream cake with a thin wafer in it. It was SO delicious! Highly recommend ordering it if you have a sweet tooth and room for dessert. The portion sizes are also very generous, so come hungry or prepare take a lot of food to go!
Service: The service was probably the biggest letdown of the night. It seemed like they were understaffed, so we were not too bothered by the long wait times, but we did not love how rushed everything was when they did come to our table. At the very end of dinner we asked for boxes for our leftovers and the waitress was very rushed with pouring in our leftovers into the box and spilled a lot of it onto the table and all over the box. Instead of giving us a new box for our food, she sloppily wiped it (there were many food stains all over the outside of the box) and walked away. I was a little grossed out by this experience and wish we could have gotten a new clean box since we still had to touch it to put it in the bag and she had used our napkins to wipe up the table. This was a bummer because the food definitely deserves 5 stars.
Atmosphere: Cute simple interior. Jang Su Jang is very spacious which I liked because I didn't feel like we were too close to any other tables. They were playing football on one of the walls in the restaurant which I felt took away from the elegance of the restaurant a little bit (didn't really match the vibe haha) but I like watching football so I didn't mind.
Parking: There is a free parking lot about a 5 minute walk away but it is a super tight deck so if you make a wrong turn or hit a dead end without finding a spot, it's very hard to turn out. There another larger deck by the Alpharetta Library but that is a bit further, and lastly there is also free street parking if you get lucky.

Flavor was great but it was surprisingly dry. Like no soup at all. Kinda like a Korean pot roast rather than any kind of hotpot. The server also wouldn't respond to me or accept anything I say. If she asked how things were, she only acknowledge what the male diners at my table responded. I responded everything was great first but she just stood there waiting for one of the men to respond.

I was in the mood for Korean food, and as I was in the area, decided to try this place. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted in Korean, which I loved! After sitting down, I pined over the menu and decided to order spicy beef soup and a mini seafood pancake. Each table has a button on it to inform the waitress you're ready to order, so once pressed, they came over right away. Once my order was in, they brought out the sides, which are unlimited! I found the kimchi to be muted and felt it needed more heat for my palette. The seaweed was so good, I could literally eat a whole pan of that by itself. The flavor and texture was just perfect. I also enjoyed the japchae and the picked spicy cucumbers. Again, the spice was non-existent and could have used more heat, but that side dish I kept coming back to! After eating some of the sides, my seafood pancake came, which was excellent! It was cooked perfectly and although the pancake itself was bland, when eaten with the sauce it was paired with, it made for a great bite. Shortly after, my soup came, which was quite large. Now, I wanted my soup spicy, but the soup itself was bland and had absolutely no heat! I had to ask for additional hot sauce to add into it and although provided, it still wasn't hot enough for me. I get that everyone doesn't like spicy food, but if this is what your advertising, at least make sure that the heat is thoroughly present in any dish being served. This was a big drawback for me, being a lover of spicy food but aside from this, I enjoyed my meal. Between the attentive and friendly staff and good food, you will enjoy your meal here. I will definitely return in the future, but hopefully next time, they can turn up the heat.

The food here is delicious, and the atmosphere is pleasant, but the only downside is that the staff are not very friendlyāperhaps because I am Asian.
When I finished my water, I asked the waiter if she could refill it. She just glanced at me, and said coldly: āwait a minute,ā and then didnāt return for a long time. I ended up asking another waiter, who refilled my water.
My friends, who are also immigrants from other countries, tried to comfort me, saying that waiters often have bad attitudes even toward people from their own countries and that itās normal. But I donāt agree.

I'm pretty particular about Korean spots and usually make my way to Duluth, but this place blew me away. Best banchan I've ever had. Best japchae I've ever had. Best jjigae I've ever had. Incredibly pleasant staff. Kicking myself for not checking it out sooner.

Donāt waste your time here, food is very bland , service is an absolute mess. They only cater towards korean clients, and even then it falls very short. Definitely check out some other korean spots, this one has nothing to offer.

It's my go-to place. Always so good, and all the side dishes are so fresh. Absolutely the best Korean restaurant in Alpharetta.

Authentic Korean food with some fusion items on the menu. A little different from the original location but understandable given the location. High quality, great service, and would recommend to anyone!

My FAVORITE place to get Haemul Pajeon in Atlanta. So glad they opened a sister branch close to our home!
Things you should know:
I.PARKING
Up the street, there is a free parking garage (by the animal hospital). It's a brief walk to Jang Su Jang from there if you can't find street parking out front.
II. SERVICE
Attentive with banchan refills and timely with bringing out our order. I was wearing a white dress and they were considerate enough to give me a clear, plastic apron so I wouldn't dirty my outfit!
III. QUALITY
Literally, nothing here has disappointed us! For my friends who don't know how to navigate the menu, here are a couple recommendations:
* Haemool Pajun (Seafood Pancake)
* Bulgogi Mushroom Jungol (bulgogi mushroom hotpot)
* Kimchi Soft Tofu (Kimchi Soft Tofu) if you like spicy
IV. CAPACITY
They're relatively new so please show them support so they can thrive
This is my favorite place to eat seafood and green onion pancakes in Atlanta. I'm so excited to have a new branch near my house!
What you need to know:
I. Parking
There is free parking up the street (near the animal hospital). If you are unable to park in front of the store, you can park there and walk to the grocery store.
II. service
The timing of bringing side dish refills and orders was very prompt. I was wearing a white dress, and they were careful to provide me with a transparent disposable apron to prevent my clothes from getting dirty.
III. food quality
I have never been disappointed here! For those who have difficulty choosing a menu, here are a few recommendations:
* Seafood and green onion pancake
* Bulgogi Mushroom Hotpot
* If you like spicy food, try kimchi soft tofu
IV. Number of seats here
This is a place that opened relatively recently, so please give us a lot of interest and support and help us settle in well.

Came early in the day and ordered the spicy pork. Others in the group ordered beef and several soups which everyone said was delicious. The serving size was perfect for one with a little remaining to take home. It was a nice experience and I'm looking forward to the next time.
