Lettuce with a Side of Lettuce
The staff here is incredibly kind — one team member even offered to add more if needed, which I appreciated. That said, the container shape and volume of greens completely dominated the dish. The bowl looks full, but once you start eating, all you’re really getting is kale and spinach unless you double or even triple up on veggies, cheese, and crunchy items.
I promise there’s actually food under there — a scoop of chicken and a few toppings — but it gets buried under the mountain of greens (you can see it in my photo). The protein add-on (at $4) amounted to about a tablespoon, which just made the imbalance stand out even more.
At $16 total ($12 base + $4 protein), I expected more balance in both ingredients and value. The pricing doesn’t match the final experience — especially when the protein feels more symbolic than satisfying.
And then there’s the other friction:
• Cashless only. I get it — modern times. But forcing card-only alienates people who still use cash (which I tried to).
• The $7 promo requires a QR code signup. You’re essentially pushing customers to download and register just to access a discount — after an already disappointing first impression. Doesn’t feel welcoming.
This isn’t about being stingy — it’s about transparency. If the bowl is going to look packed but eat sparse, let customers know how it works upfront. Salata may work better once you learn how to order it, but that learning curve shouldn’t cost this much.

>> In response to the owner of Salata- that was the first thing I did was email customer relations. I sent the email before writing a review. Thank you

I’ve been coming to Salata for years and have always enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the staff. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was completely ruined by the behavior of a supervisor named Carrie.
Her treatment of one of the team members in front of customers was appalling — rude, disrespectful, and passive-aggressive to the point of being hostile. What made it worse was that this employee had been nothing but professional, kind, and helpful, creating a positive experience for me as a guest. Instead of showing leadership, Carrie chose to belittle and dismiss her in front of everyone.
It was disturbing to witness and completely unprofessional. No customer should have to watch that, and no employee deserves to be treated that way, especially in a place that is supposed to feel welcoming and community-oriented.
Salata needs to seriously reconsider who they put in positions of authority. If this is the example being set by leadership, it damages not only the employees but also the customer experience and the reputation of the brand.

We were looking for a quick, healthy dinner on our way to a show at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre and stopped at Salata because it was near our hotel. Amber was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the salads were delicious! The croissants were great, too.

I’ve been coming here since they opened, and this was one of the most disappointing services I’ve received with Estaphany. It was rushed and the helpings were small. My husband and I had a different experience which was much better. Customer Service training needs to be looked at again.

Mrs. Linda made a salad that almost made me cry. I ate that salad like somebody was gonna take it from me. It was so good that I bit my mouth trying to chew it. She mixed up the avocado, herb, and the lemon dressing that made the party in my mouth today. I was truly at a loss for words. This spot was amazing

The Indian woman working the salad bar seems miserable. She did not greet me when I walked in, just stared. The Indian man working with her also seemed annoyed. I asked for double veggies and he acted like he didn’t want to give me the vegetables. Then was annoyed when I asked for an extra dressing on the side although I told the cashier that I was glad to pay for it.

Delicious and fresh! We stopped here today and I had a wrap and my wife had a salad. Our kids had salads for the kids meal. The selection was incredible for each salad and wrap. Lots of different veggies and meats to choose from. The space is really nice and clean inside. Our kids enjoyed the space and we would definitely come back!
