Food truck; they were about to close, but went ahead and let me place my order. I had some kind of Shrimp w/ sauce, some type of rice recipe and steamed cabbage (love cabbage). I am not familiar with Jamaican food, but it seemed pretty genuine. The Shrimp was the best I have had anywhere (better than a fancy restaurant, seriously). They were cooked perfectly, and were very large and still tasted great (very impressed with the size, how they were cooked and the quantity of food). Amanda and I think Kevin, not sure, were so customer service oriented. They care about their food and customers! Thank you for making me dinner! .. will be back.

I live 2 hours away and I would drive 2 hours more for this jerk chicken. It's the best I've ever had. Also my wife and I are not cabbage people, but whatever Kevin does to the cabbage to make that slaw is magical. We could eat it for weeks.

So this was my first time trying this restaurant, I got the oxtail plate and it's beyond good !! Reminds me of my Fathers cooking. I could only eat one and a half oxtail before I became full. Definitely worth the price for the amount of food you get. I will be back to try other options. Thank you to Amanda for the amazing service !

So from one who travels to Jamaica and who has family in Jamaica:

AUTHENTIC GREATNESS ??? IN GEORGIA!!!! I only had one meal so far -JERK CHIKCEN. Usually I don’t like jerk chicken, always dried out and not marinated enough, but they didn’t have curry goat and I didn’t want the family size $44 option for oxtail. But when I tell you the Jerk chicken is one of the BEST Jerks I have had. This place would be ? even in NYC. I had to call them back and tell them how good it was. I even ask them if they are associated with the SCOTCHIES in MONTEGO BAY as Scotchies in JAMAICA had the best jerk chicken ever. I’d always brag about it because it was far BETTER than the famed BOSTON JERK STOP in Portland Jamaica. So for $25 I received plenty of chicken that was DELICIOUS. And the sides rice annd beans, cabbage were on point as well. My plantains were…ok but I’m assuming it was just that day…. And yes they are associated with the one in Jamaica. They use all natural ingredients and oils. Everything is made from scratch. That’s how good it was I just knew it!
Gotta knew place to get food. Going there again today ?

Their food truck came to our apartment complex recently and I got the jerk chicken and curry chicken. The curry chicken was pretty good but the jerk chicken was essentially a mildly spicy barbecue sauce and most of it was bones instead of meat. I also asked for them to make it a lot spicy to which they said they could, they certainly did not. Will not be wasting another $30 for such mediocre food.

I had the opportunity today to eat at the Scotchie's Food Truck..... It was amazing!!!

I had the brown stew chicken which was full of flavor with a nice spice level!! The cabbage however was "sidekick" that tried to steal the show!!! The cabbage here is second to none!!! ( I suggest getting the cabbage dressed in the brow stew gravy!! )

Forget the plane ticket! Last night, I was transported to the heart of Jamaica thanks to a phenomenal dining experience at Scothies Jamaican Restaurant. From the moment I stepped inside, the cozy atmosphere buzzed with infectious energy.
But the true star of the show was, without a doubt, the food. The Brown Stew Shrimp dish was a vibrant explosion of flavor, bursting with the soul of Jamaica. The jerk chicken, marinated to juicy perfection, had a kick that lingered pleasantly on my tongue. Each bite was a symphony of jerk spice, allspice, and Scotch Bonnet peppers, perfectly balanced by the sweet. Big Up Kevin as well, he is an exceptional host.

For this year's Father's Day dinner, we decided to have our meal catered by Scotchie's, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. From start to finish, the experience was impeccable. We had their food before at a couple of events so we had to check them out for ourselves.

Let's talk about the food, which was nothing short of extraordinary. The cabbage, in particular, was a standout. It was hands down the best cabbage I've ever had. It maintained a perfect balance of tenderness and crunch, seasoned to perfection, making it an unexpected star of the meal.

The curry was another highlight. It boasted the perfect amount of spice, offering a wonderful depth of flavor without overpowering the senses. It is clear that Scotchie’s knows how to do curry right.

Then there was the jerk chicken, which was absolutely superb. The chicken was incredibly moist and packed with that distinctive jerk seasoning that left everyone wanting more. The balance of smoky and spicy notes was executed flawlessly.

The fried snapper was fried to perfection, the fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bursting with flavor. The rice and peas were, quite simply, to die for. This dish could easily stand on its own as a highlight.

Last but certainly not least, the garlic shrimp was fantastic. Each shrimp was succulent and perfectly cooked, bathed in a rich garlic sauce.

Overall, Scotchie's made our Father's Day dinner an unforgettable experience. Every dish, from the exquisite cabbage to the fantastic garlic shrimp, was a testament to their culinary excellence. If you're looking for a catering service that will impress everyone at your event, look no further than Scotchie's.

As a first generation American, born to Jamaican parents, finding good Jamaican food in Atlanta has been SUCH a struggle since I moved here 12 years ago.Scotchies food truck came to our apartment building one Wednesday, and I have since called 3 times to FIND WHERE the food truck was going to be that evening. The first time I called Amanda answered and wasn’t sure if the exact address when I asked, but said she would have someone reach out to me and let me know, and within 5-7 minutes I received a text letting me know where I would be going, I did not really care how far it was going to be. I live in west Midtown and was ready to drive to Alpharetta if I had to, only to find out the food truck was literally 2.7 miles away that evening. My wife absolutely LOOOOOVES their “Islandade”!! I looooove the oxtail and the red snapper…. and I love that the rice and peas is made with gunga peas, everywhere else only use the red peas, and that’s not the only rice and peas Jamaica has to offer. Scotchies is the MOST authentic Jamaican food in Atlanta, and surrounding areas! The truck never looks hectic and messy, always looks clean and smells good! The customer service is the prime example of Jamaicans having good manners… not the ones you read about when “the Jamaican lady has an attitude sharing out your food” lolThe one thing that hurts my feelings, is that I found them 12 years after moving here and 2 months before moving out of state! True Jamaicans, please know Scotchies is what you’re looking for!!
