South Main kitchen is one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten in over 20+ years living here. We learned tonight that the restaurant is closing at the end of August. I'm certainly glad that I got a chance to experience it. If you get a chance in the next couple of days/weeks, I highly recommend this restaurant. The owner is fabulous and this restaurant will be missed.

Fun place for a casual gathering of friends. Good food and fun cocktails. I wanted a Mocktail and one was not on the menu. Our waitress said the bartender could make anything I wanted. So I told her citrusy and earthy and she indeed made a delicious citrusy and earthy light mocktail! Salmon was cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend for a fun night out with friends and family.

Really want to love this place, but each time I dine here I say I'm never coming back: so unbelievably loud, wines by the glass are 17+, entrees are priced accordingly as other like restaurants, but the portions are super small, service is always friendly and expedient.
Terrible experience/super noisy and the food was terrible/ got the hanger steak and it was so bitter / cook does not clean the grill before cooking it and all that super burnt stuff that accumulated ended up on my steak / collard greens are terrible. I don't know why this place has so many great reviews unless they are gratuitous reviews where people are not really interested in saying the truth

We live in the neighborhood and have eaten here several times. This is a great place to have a meal! The ambience is always welcoming and there are plenty of food options. Have had the Kale Salad, Scallops, Flank Steak, Short Ribs and plenty of other items on the menu. Have never had a bad bite. The consistency is what makes us go back time after time. I highly recommend South Main Kitchen!

Everything we had here last night was amazing. We ordered SMK burger and shrimp pesto pasta. Both dishes were excellent and The shrimp pesto pasta was the best dish that I have ever had. Definitely coming back for it.

We had a delicious dinner and evening. Our server was crazy busy yet took very good care of our table. We have enjoyed this restaurant - even with the changing of ownership - for quite a few years. Thank you for doing what it takes to make it all happen!
First time visit. All the food - wedge salad and flatiron steak were delicious. Our server Vanessa was very gracious and thoughtful. Music was loud early in the visit. Noticed it less as crowd flowed in. Will definitely return.

First time here. We our 29th anniversary and had the best Waiter that we highly recommend! The food was Delicious, we sat outside and listened Live music from the park, and Waiter, Jo Lyle, was so engaged on made us feel very welcome. He was very attentive while giving us our space. We will definitely be back there again and ask for him!
Roast chicken dish is divine.. . Rather change the mac and cheese that comes with it for something else. Not good.

Have always loved this restaurant. Would recommend a larger Farmhouse salad. The bowl was the size of a saucer plate. Charge $2 more and serve a proper salad. That's my only criticism. Still one of my favorites in DTA.

Service was extremely slow. Waiter had zero personality once I asked the hostess if our table had a waiter assigned. Asked for a burger medium , it came out well done and burnt on the outside. Left a burnt taste in my mouth. Fries were sad and soggy. Drinks were 4/10. Won’t be back.

This place is everything you are looking for! Great food, friendly staff, huge selection of whiskey and hand crafted cocktails, and the ambiance is perfect for a date, a friend /family gathering, or even for a corporate meeting. Lots of seating inside and outside. They also have this amazing rooftop over the back patio. Last Saturday, they had a DJ playing deep house music on that rooftop, and we got to dance and meet new people of the community. The night was a blast! What a great summer vibe! ☀️ It's definitely a go-to place in Downtown Alpharetta ?
