I used to be a fan of the chain. Now, I don't like the changes. I couldn't make a dietary request. The French fries cooked in beef tallow didn't make a change in the taste for the better, but they were so greasy. The iced tea was too sweet. Kids had moved chairs around, and it was so loud.

Wish I could leave 0 stars. Pulled in at 11:58 in an uber because we were starving and they proceeded to tell us their screen turned to midnight 5 mins before. Horrible service and horrible company. If I were the owner I’d fire anyone working there at this moment. Even if it’s $20.00 or less you just lost a long time customer. A shame.

James, the manager, should be FIRED!!! I went through the drive thru, had to pull up to wait for my order, got the order, missing the cheese sauce, had to go inside to get it. Went back to the car to separate my two meals so I could drop on off for a family member. Noticed that the LARGE fry was only half full so I pulled around the drive thru to get a full fry. James, the manager, came to the window to tell me that “he watched them put the fries in the bag and they were full” I guess he also watched them forget the cheese sauce. So I asked him where the fries were. He basically said that I was a lair and I ate them. He left the window with nothing else. The poor girl working was mortified and embarrassed. She kept apologizing and said “if the other manager was working, she would have been able to do something”. Are you kidding me? This “manager” should never manage anything! He is rude and disrespectful. I never left the parking lot! Now I have cold food and overpaid for my half meal. I’ll say it again… JAMES SHOULD BE FIRED! All of this over FRENCH FRIES. How ridiculous.

I am a regular here and normally I have a pretty good/quick experience in drive thru. Today there was a new lady serving me around 3:30pm. I pulled up and heard nothing, gave it a few minutes and then started to question if they may have been closed because I received no greeting not even a “be right with you” no type of confirmation that anyone was aware I was sitting in the drive thru. So after a decent amount of time I said “hello” into the speaker, nothing came back to me. So I said “hello” again to see if someone was even there or knew that I had been waiting. After the second hello the lady literally screams into the speaker so loud that I jump back, and then tells me she has the headset on but she is helping another customer. Which is fine but at least acknowledge that you know I’m here a quick “be right with you” is not abnormal for the industry. I let her know “I’m sorry I was waiting a while and didn’t hear anything which is why I was saying hello “ she then responds in a combative manner telling me I wasn’t, even though I was and goes as far to say that she saw me when I pulled up. So you saw me here and didn’t bother to quickly acknowledge letting me know you’ll be right with me. Ultimately the experience turned my stomach, people that like are the ones you gotta watch and will mess with your food. Decided not to get anything after being handled that way. Hopefully she can be coached on how to handle customers even when things may be a bit busy, this could have all been avoided and I would have had steak and shake and waited patiently for it with a simple “be right with you” letting me know she was busy and acknowledging my presence at the same time. But yelling at me because you never acknowledged or asked me to hold is crazy.

The food was amazing, as always, but what really stood out this time was the excellent customer service. The restaurant is spotless and well-kept. A huge thank you to Jamie — he’s incredible! He greeted us warmly as soon as we walked in and made sure our food came out quickly. You can tell he works hard and truly cares about giving customers a great experience. It’s always refreshing to see someone take such pride in their job!
Tired from a long day on a Saturday night I use the Steak ‘n Shake app. I ordered food so we thought in our Coming Georgia location. Instead, we got our order sent to the Alpharetta location. After we paid Almost $18 we immediately realized it was not at our location Store over a half dozen times no one answers the phone. The next day same thing no one answers their phone. Now I’m gonna have to drive over there to get my money back. Super annoying I take responsibility however, why won’t someone answer a ring line? From 950 to 10:30 no one answered the call. Same for this afternoon don’t use the app unless you’re dead certain you have the right.. However, they are the best burgers in America, possibly the world.
