Tarahumata Mexican Grill

Meh. Went last night with a fairly big party but the place wasn't busy. Literally took us 20 minutes to get waters brought to the table and 35 minutes to get the beers we ordered. Half our table didn't even get their drinks the first time around; had to ask the waitress a 2nd time to bring them. The service is just terrible. Brought my buddy's fajitas with no tortillas or condiments (just the meat and peppers/onions) He had to ASK for all the rest. Chips and salsa ran out and took forever to get replaced. Just abysmal.

Great place to enjoy margaritas and Mexican food....indoor or on the nice patio. I can't believe how time flies, but I've been going there for 15+ years. They have fresh, made on site sangria (try it mixed with a frozen margarita!) and guacamole, along with a variety of specialty dishes
If you're looking for something a little outside of the box. They have a huge TV and several others above the bar, so watching sports here is
easy. They also regularly have live music a couple of nights per week. The owners Jose and Glenda are fabulous... It's always a bonus to hang out with them when they are there. The only slightly negative thing I can possibly say is that the bartenders can be a bit nonchalant/aloof. The manager Alex is great, but he doesn't seem to normally bartend. It is definitely one of my favorite places to hang out in Alpharetta!

I just had a fantastic party for 32 people at Terahumata. They accommodated my group wonderfully, made a delicious menu for my guests and the service was beyond excellent. Carolina helped me plan and made suggestions for a wonderful taco bar and Tapas plates and my party attendees left full and happy! I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant and awesome staff!

Tarahumata Mexican Grill is a gem! We sat outdoors and the atmosphere was perfect — lively but relaxed. The lobster enchiladas stole the show, absolutely incredible. I went with the Arrachara, and while the skirt steak itself wasn’t the most tender cut, the plate as a whole worked beautifully. The cheese-stuffed poblano and charro beans were excellent. My Cadillac margarita was top-notch as well. Add in friendly, professional service and you’ve got a home run spot for great Mexican food in Alpharetta.

Tara Humata is gorgeous inside, the decor is authentic. The food was excellent, highly recommend the cheese steak and guacamole. Robert S. was our server, very attentive and pleasant. The music also added to the overall chill vibe. Five ⭐️

Service by Raul was excellent! Such a nice server and attentive. Really took the experience to another level and loved the atmosphere, decor and music. Would love to come back for the live music in the evenings. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Overall a wonderful, upscale option that is so convenient as well!

Service was extremely poor, sat for 10 minutes and had to go to hostess stand for help. Order fajitas without onions and 2 sides of sour cream. Came loaded with onions, steak and chicken was shredded not strips with very little meat and mostly vegetables for a $40 entree for 2. Had to ask for ordered sour cream sides 3 times and took 15 minutes. Fajitas were over powered with garlic. Will not go back there again, to many better choices in the area.

Perfect spot for a night out with friends!

We had a fantastic girls' night out at Tarahumara Mexican Grill! Our group of 10 was warmly welcomed, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our large party without any hassle. The service was friendly and attentive from start to finish.

The food? Absolutely amazing! Every dish was flavorful. From tacos to margaritas, everything hit the spot. The lively atmosphere and live music made it even more fun and full of energy. We’ll definitely be back!
