Tarahumata Mexican Grill

Everything, I mean EVERYTHING had jalapenos in it. I've never had guacamole with jalapenos in it. The mussels had jalapenos in it !

Good people work here. I do Uber eats for extra cash, and my order was not ready when I arrived so I waited patiently for it. There was a little confusion with the order, being it was similar to another customer’s order. I was told it was being made and was offered a drink which I politely declined. Minutes later I was offered food for my wait and I initially declined that too but he was persistent. I told him I’d leave it up to him , letting him decide how generous he wanted to be. Shortly after my Uber eats order was ready and I was also gifted a complementary meal for my troubles. I’ve never been to this restaurant but now will because of the great service and willingness to correct a honest mistake.

I had the pleasure of dining at Tarahumata Mexican Grill and Tequila Bar, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. As a first-time visitor to the area and a lover of Mexican, I was truly blown away by the outstanding customer service. Eddie, the manager, went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, while our server, Guadalupe, provided impeccable and attentive service throughout the meal. My girlfriend and I have visited many Mexican restaurants, and this one stood out not only for its delicious food but for the warmth and professionalism of the staff. I highly recommend Tarahumata for an unforgettable dining experience.

I can't believe I have been going to this restaurant for over 10 years and am just now reviewing it... First of all, it is beautifully decorated... Always clean... And often has live music. Then the food... I've never had anything that I did not love! Fresh, high quality ingredients and delicious! You'll find your usual favorites, along with some creative Chef specialties. I would not want to complete this review without mentioning the amazingly friendly owners, Jose and Glenda... You will almost certainly have the pleasure of seeing one or both of them each time you visit. 99% of the time I sit at the bar, so I can't really speak to the wait staff as much as I can the bartenders who are always quick to take care of you...with a smile! If you haven't had the pleasure of dining here, go knowing you will have a fantastic experience!

This restaurant is much nicer than the other nearby Mexican Restaurants. Unlike other places in the area :
* always clean and better presentation
* Has specials that vary based on the days . Does include days with specials on a real Texas Margarita (the good stuff and not imitation orange liquor), frozen Marg, wine ? specials, etc.
* the food is always fresh and flavorful
* Staff is super friendly and greets you within seconds of you coming in.
* great service whether you choose to dine in or seat at the bar.
* Always has regular friendly faces but welcoming to all
* lively and never empty in the evenings or weekends
* Has the best Caipirinha I've had in greater Atlanta!

I never make reviews about a place but the food, service, & drinks were amazing. Just moved into the apartments nearby and wanted to try it out. My boyfriend and I definitely now have a favorite spot to go to. You guys will be seeing a lot of us, Thank you Nicolas for a great experience ♥️

Came here with a large group after an event. The service was great, even with our group having people arrive at different times. The margaritas were so good. I had a peach frozen margarita. The restaurant gave the group the amazing desserts pictured on the house.

This is probably one of the worst Mexican Restaurants in US. They serve stale chips, stale refried beans, stale rice, over cooked and dry chicken. When complained about it, they said the food is fresh and they are supposed to taste like that. Their Tacos are the saddest tacos one could get on Earth, and I'm sure people get served the same Tacos in Hell as punishment. Don't go here and waste your money.

This was already one of my favorite places when I worked in the area before covid and its still one of my favorite places when I come back from FL for work many times a year...they have kept their consistency throughout the years.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Their fajita quesadilla is one of the best ive found. Try it, you won't be disappointed. ?
