The Cape Restaurant at Avalon:

The Cape boasts excellent food. The festive holiday touches, peppermint espresso martini, and the curry beef crepe with hollandaise sauce and classic french fries were all delightful. The flavors were well-balanced and the presentation was appealing.
However, the service left something to be desired. Several staff members walked past me without a greeting or a check-in, which felt a bit pretentious and inattentive.
Overall:
Despite the service shortcomings, the delicious food makes The Cape worth a visit. I recommend trying the curry beef crepe( bobotie).

We love the atmosphere of this restaurant. They have a great menu but some of the dishes are bland and overpriced.

This is my second time dining here, and this visit was for the holiday pop-up. The food was just as delicious as I remembered, and the service was outstanding. I loved the variety of festive holiday drinks, and the decor really captured the holiday spirit.

I ordered the Sosaties (Filet Minon and rice) to go. This was the serving size they gave me for $20 (pictured). Someone at my table ordered a non alcoholic beverage to go and it came in a cup the size of a mouthwash cup. The sushi rolls and drink were fine. The food is overpriced for the serving size.

We asked for a heated igloo. We were not informed that the igloo zipper to the door was broken. We were outside and it was 40° out. There were two heaters inside the igloo and they were both the size of the palm of my hand. It was cold. We asked to be relocated inside. They should let customers know this ahead of time and let them decide if they want to sit outside or not. We could have just sat outside on a park bench if we wanted to be cold.

Will NEVER return to this restaurant again.

Our party had the pleasure of dining here and I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional service we received .From the moment we arrived , we were warmly greeted by the hostess , Avery, who made us feel right at home . Our server ,Christian truly impressed us with his remarkable ability to present and explain the menu entirely from memory . His enthusiasm for the food was infectious and when he recommended his favorite dish our guest decided to try it and was not disappointed - what an exquisite choice !
Additionally , our guest requested to speak with the manager , Karina who was attentive proficient and genuinely engaged in a thoughtful conversation about The Cape’s outstanding customer service beautiful decor and culinary experience

We left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied and we are already looking forward to our next visit . Thank you to Avery , Christian , Karina and the entire team for an unforgettable dining experience !!!!

I really enjoyed the food. My server Jasmine was great. I didn’t like how small the venue really was. It didn’t appear as advertised on instagram. I went for the Christmas vibes and it was a bit underwhelming. I would love to go back during the summer. My friend said the rooftop was nice so it would’ve been cool if they had sealed the top with the same material they created the igloos with. I had the shrimp tempura roll, the shrimp tacos and the mistletoe margarita and I loved it.

My husband and I moved to Johns Creek Alpharetta area 3 years ago, we absolutely fell in Love with The Cape it’s like our version of Cheers
 the sitcom.
Sundays are always great when Micheal is behind the Bar. His service is exceptional and my husband and I love seeing him on our Sundays when we stop in.

I have been to this restaurant so many times and have absolutely loved it - really great food and friendly service.
Over the holidays I took family for a late lunch- restaurant was busy but not crazy- we were seated in one of the igloos - initially I was thrilled as it was so cute and added to the holiday vibe- we might as well have been in the North Pole- took FOREVER for someone to take our order. We tried to be helpful and ordered food at the same time as drinks, we did get our drinks and thirty minutes later our server came out and said our order was “lost in the system” we closed out our drinks bill but noticed the table next to us had been served their order in about fifteen minutes. I don’t think it was the system at fault- just admit you didn’t put the order in. Might think twice about going here again.
