Got the mushroom Swiss burger and pimiento cheese dip. The burger had less than a tbsp of mayo, 3 full slices of tomatoes(??), and I got it medium but it was dry on the outside and very rare on the inside...The cheese dip wasn't fully melted and the tortilla chips were from a bag + slightly stale. The waitress was super sweet and accommodating and offered us recommendations as well. They offer happy hour but only if you're in the lounge or patio ... Not for regular seating....Overall too expensive for the quality of the food but the staff are kind and helpful.

This was my wife's and I first time here. Not sure what I was expecting but with Tavern in the name, I was thinking peanut shells on the floor. Nope! It was beautifully decorated inside. We went on a Saturday around 5ish so it was not too crowded and got seated with no reservations. Our waitresses was very nice and repeated our order which was an added bonus.I had a Ceasar salad which was not drenched in dressing. It had the perfect amount. Then our mains came out. I had the Prime Rib. It was perfect. Some places you get a 14oz prime that is 10oz of fat, not thos place. Perfect amount of marbling. Only complaint was the horseradish didn't really have any bite to it, but that is ok.The Village Tavern is definitely added to our rotation of places to go.My wife had a burger that she said was good. Some places she gets a burger from and they are no better than Wendy's but this, she said was really good. The only reason I dropped lower in atmosphere was because we were seated next to the kitchen. I would say if you are going to have a discussion, move to an location not next to where people are sitting. Didn't bother me but some might have an issue.Parking: Just be aware that there are signs that says the restaurant is not responsible for lost items. Nothing happened when we were there, but follow the signs.

Though such a glamorous appearing tavern, I was most disappointed with the food I was served. I don’t believe it was because we came to visit during lunch time and perhaps the food was rushed to be served. It is evident that going here for the experience and maybe drinking are the only thing you may want to come here for, definitely not the food. The pictures appeared very appetizing, but the actual flavor does not reflect it at all. It could just be the options we chose but they all definitely did not meet our expectations.Grilled Chicken Teriyaki 1/5 – I have never been served teriyaki with grilled bell peppers like this and I did not find it any helpful in adding flavor to this dish. I don’t know if it is some modern twist on teriyaki, but it is a culinary failure. Apart from an underwhelming taste from the teriyaki sauce, the chicken was bland and did not take in any flavor from the already poorly made sauce. The portion size was really shocking, as I would barely have considered that a meal. Though everyone’s appetite differs, this portion size was excessively small. Even fancy restaurants nearby serve more than this.Grilled Meatloaf Dinner 2/5 – This dish almost passes as decent. If only the meat and potatoes both had more salt and flavor, it could actually make for a delicious dish. Adding a wine to the mushroom sauce or derivating it from a beef broth would have elevated this dish as well.Wings 1/5 – Nothing special. Your average low-quality wings that did not even have a good taste. Same ones you can get for much cheaper elsewhere. Really quite disappointing.

First, my wife and I both have LONG experience living in multiple parts of Asia. So we ordered the Thai Chicken Salad. It had absolutely NOTHING to do with Thai flavors. Thais are masters at combinations of the basic flavors of sweet, salty, spicy etc. This had NONE of these. The chicken was nice, but it was plain Western Roast chicken where the Thais would have marinated and basted it with a dozen different ingredients. I mentioned this shortcoming to the waiter, who was respectful. But he told me that their head chef "was from the Philippines." I think that was meant to "blunt" my criticism. Sadly, that culture, interesting as it is, has NOTHING to do with Thailand. At my request the waiter brought me some addition dressing which helped a bit. But still nothing remotely Thai. Mind you, the salad itself was fresh and crispy where appropriate. It's just that the flavoring was not even the two stars I gave it. By all means try Village Tavern, just don't order the Thai Chicken Salad unless my description appeals to you!

Short rib quesadilla is a disappointment. Very little flavor despite mouth-watering menu description. Lemon berry sangria refreshing despite less than sparkling glass! Friend's martini tipped over; difficulty finding ANYONE to assist. I went to hostess, told her what happened and instead of coming with napkins or whatever, she went on l-o-n-g search for our server who did show up, empty-handed, observed mess, left and then returned with approximately 10 cocktail napkins (inadequate- only 2 sips taken prior to accident). Is this how they clean tables after customers leave? So no cloths to wipe down tables in this place?! Bartender filled martini glass to VERY top so server had to walk oh-so-slow to table, trying to preserve as much as possible but sadly glass was dripping badly by the time my lunch buddy received it...soaked cocktail napkins. When replacement martini was brought in same condition, no napkins came with it because everything had been used trying to soak up spill. Yes, WE...server dropped off the piddly 10 cocktail napkins and left. She made no effort to assist with spill. Lunch buddy's salad looked great BTW so at least that went well. Oh and we were there around 3pm so it was NOT a busy time.

We had a party of 8 adults and 4 kids under the age of 4. Staff was great very patient for a Friday night. Had a variety of food and every dish was very good.

We ate here with a large group. They knew we were coming and had an area reserved for us.The server was very friendly, but not very efficient. The orders were very slow in coming and many orders were incorrect. I ordered grilled salmon on a Caesar salad with dressing on the side and no croutons. The salad was drowned in the dressing and covered in croutons. The salmon was very over cooked. The server took it back and had a new one made. The salmon on the second one was worse than the first. It was almost like Salmon jerky it was so hard and dry. The French onion soup was good. When the server took the orders she put them all on one page. We told her they would be separate checks. She assured us it would not be a problem. When the meal was done I had to go find her to get our checks. She then had to go around and ask who had what and then go get the checks. It was great to be out with friends, but definitely now a place I would choose to go again.
