J3 BBQ & Homemade Ice Cream

As much as I want to be nice about this it may not come off that way and I apologize in advance.
The variety of food and ice cream is great but the prices are a bit much (somewhat understandable with the economy).
The service is is also decent, mostly friendly staff.
First impression is everything with me and I will be completely honest and say I was not impressed with the food, especially for the price.
The Brunswick Stew is more of a vegetable soup (personal opinion), the Nacho Plate, while impressive in size, was bland in flavor (personal opinion), the pulled pork sandwich plate wasn't horrible (according to my child, I did not try it) and the sauces on the table were very watery.
I was unable to drink the water due to the machine mixing it with a fruit drink that I am allergic to.
The wait staff decided to start cleaning and closing the dining area while we were still eating which made us feel very unwelcomed and uncomfortable.
*My daughter and boyfriend enjoyed the ice cream.*
As I said before - good variety, mostly decent staff, good ice cream.

Passing through and stopped. My husband and I both had a pulled pork sandwich and sides were potato salad, coleslaw and fries. Everything was delicious. My husband had some Pecan pie ice cream and said it tasted just like pecan pie. Prices are reasonable and highly recommend!!

We were traveling through and since we’re on the carnivore diet (slightly dirty version), we were looking for a place to eat meat only. We chose the RIGHT SPOT!!! I’m sad I didn’t take any pictures but they wouldn’t do it justice anyways! Everything was perfectly seasoned and tender! Melt in your mouth brisket! Delicious pulled pork! Juicy chicken! Fall off the bone ribs! They even crispied up some chicken wings for us and they were exactly like I like them! 100% recommend and definitely plan to return on our next trip to Damascus. Maybe we’ll have a cheat next time and try their homemade ice cream! Also, everyone was so friendly and explained the process (counter service/food runners) as soon as you walk in the door. The food runners were so sweet and helpful as well!

EVERYONE was super friendly. an when I got my food (which was A LOT) I even mentioned to the waitress how quick that was. HIGHLY RECOMMEND J3. Incredible

I drove from New York and while in Bainbridge GA I stopped by J3 BBQ & Homemade Ice Cream. The southern hospitality from the staff was great and the food is AMAZING! I got the 3 meat sampler with a side of potato salad. Everything was delicious! Properly seasoned and cooked to perfection!! I also got some homemade Peach Ice Cream and I was blown away!! When I’m back in the Bainbridge area I will be back!!!!!!

There's an substantial difference in the amount of food served to you on-site compared to what you get in your takeout order. I've only ever ordered 1 or 2 things so I know them well. Brisket sandwich and the loaded potato were the only items from their menu I was comfortable or satisfied with, but always at dinner, always in house. Loaded potatoes in the restaurant you cant see over or around. Loaded potato when you take out at home you can't see a resemblance or see what in hell happened to it on the way home. 90% butter, 80% cheese, 50% shredded meat all disappeared on the way home. Unfortunately 90% chance I would visit them again also disappeared. The largest individual item on our order was the cup of slaw for the potato.

Legit 5 Star review. Top 5 best BBQ I've ever had! First off, the pledge of allegiance is on the outside wall with a huge American flag - so already great. You walk to the counter in the back to order, then sit down. The menu is ala carte. I tried the ½ pound BBQ plate with fries. Very very good. Fries were great also. BBQ sauce6 were excellent. I was so full I didn't try the homemade ice cream. Can't wait to go back to J3. Owner is a nice fella.

Great place. I’m in town for hurricane Milton and my fam stopped here. Great price and great bbq. I had the cardiac arrest. I will be back. Staff super friendly

I have eaten at this establishment many times. There is a reason that I keep going. It is because the food is great and the the people are very friendly. They go above and beyond to try and make sure the customer is satisfied. I have never had a problem here. Go give them a try.

I loved this place and have been going 1-2 times a week for a while now. The past few weeks I’ve noticed them beginning to go down hill. The food quality has begun to get worse and worse. The chicken is now dry and shriveled up not sure if they don’t know how to cook it without Kirk there to tell them or if they are just buying worse quality chicken. I went with a couple people and we got the steak which is usually cooked a perfect medium. When it came out I cut into it and it was well-done by a long shot and burnt on the edges same for the other steaks. So we sent them back and got another… when they came out it was the same problem way over done. So I took it up to the counter and showed the MOD. She said “I dont know what to do about it Kirk isn’t here”, maybe don’t offer steak on the menu for $40 if you don’t know how to cook it, I just said give me a refund which she did. It’s sad to see such a great place like this, one of the only places worth eating at in bainbridge, go down hill. Hopefully they get a new chef or maybe Kirk comes back so their food will be good again.

Worse experience in a long time. $18 for 1lb of brisket. Be prepared as there's no way 3 slices is a pound and the bake potato was 2-3 days old rebaked and barely warm enough to melt the butter. No extras on the potato offered and the coleslaw was meh! Locals probably don't know any better but what a rip off for an entire dinner for $27.

Wow. Where to begin..., first of all the service was impeccable. Friendly, helpful and absolutely welcoming. The food was next level delicious and fresh, and the atmosphere was on point. And the fact that they support so many worthy and amazing causes is just the cherry on top. Support your local businesses! P.S. We collectively had, the loaded brisket fries, the loaded pork fries and the naked chicken salad. 5 out of 5 stars in my humble opinion.
