What a treasure this place is between Baxley and Hazlehurst! If you're looking for great food and great service, this is the place. I think they're only open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, so check before going. We attended a Bluegrass Festival at the Stagger Lee Music Park and ate here 2 of our 4 nights!
Steaks, Ribs, Cheesy grits, Loaded mashed potatoes, baked beans and NY style cheesecake were all awesome! Highly recommend!

It was a great atmosphere. Not loud like most steak houses. Even though it was a small place it was pretty good find. Our waitress was wonderful. The prices where high and the steak seasoning was different but over all. Suggest if you get the steak add your own salt and pepper to cancel out the sweet seasoning but other wise cooked correctly and very tender. My children enjoyed the chicken tenders and ribs no complaints from them they enjoyed their food.

My husband and I made our first trip to Ray’s this evening from Cochran and it did not disappoint! Everything was perfection. The ribeyes were perfectly cooked and the ribs were delicious. The desserts were amazing and the service and atmosphere were top notch. We will absolutely be back!

If you are looking for a great steak, you found it at Rays! Also recommend the pulled pork and ribs. I’ve never had a bad meal at rays and the service is always on point even on busy nights! Don’t forget to get a piece of cheesecake! It isn’t the cheapest place in town to eat but a great steak usually isn’t cheap! Ray and his staff are always very welcoming!

On our third trip there my steak was cold and the food overall was not that good. Our waitress was either new or didn't know what she was doing because she never offered to carry my steak back. I ate what I could and my husband ate the rest of my steak needless to say stopped at a fast food place to pick up something on the way hime. Even the deserts were as good as they were on our precious trips. Definitely want be driving an hour plus to eat here again. We don't mind paying for good food but this past Saturday the food was not good. $100 for two people and food was not near worth that.
Kid-friendliness: Kids were absolutely welcome. We saw several families with kids from infant to teenagers.
Although the service was a little slow, I had to change it from eat in to get it to go. Once I ate my meal it was excellent. I will say I will go back again

My wife and I drove from Savannah out to Ray's to have a nice Saturday evening dinner and a scenic drive. We were not disappointed and really enjoyed our dinner. The Ribeye steaks were great, the sides were tasty but most of all, the service was fantastic. Ray came to our table multiple times and was friendly and engaging to make sure we had a good time. It is rare when the owner spends time to make sure the customers are happy and his stories were great. He also was spot on about the blueberry cheesecake pie. Amazing. We will be back and if you are passing by, I urge you to do the same.

Good food but there was some spit on the wall in my booth. There was some woman with wild bleach blonde hair chain smoking outside but the staff was friendly and the food was good. Will recommend it for sure
