La Cabaña Mexican Restaurant

We didn't go in this visit as there was a sign saying "no alcohol". It was very good 2 weeks ago.

I've driven past this place many times and there always seems to be a lot people there. Should be a good place to eat, right?

Service was pretty good. No complaints there.

Food was terrible. I ordered a seafood burrito, but it was so bad I could not get past the second bite. It tasted like it was drowned in mayonnaise. Taco Bell's food tastes more authentic.

Something sketchy about the bar. Very nice looking bar, but it was completely out of stock. No beer. No liquor. What kind of Mexican restaurant does not have at least a mediocre margarita?
Maybe their alcohol license was revoked, who knows?

Slow, lax service; they mixed up our to-go orders with someone else, loud and terrible music. Food is average at best.

So, I took down my last review and decided to give La Cabana another shot. This time I got the Steak Fajita Quesadilla w/ No Onions, No Peppers, Add Mushrooms.....Got my quesadilla and guess what....... it had Onions and Peppers and NO mushrooms.

What keeps me coming back is the first time I ate here a little over a month ago.... Had a steak and cheese quesadilla add mushrooms and it was great.....tried to replicate that again today and was disappointed yet again...

Not sure how many more times I can try this place....

Took 30 minutes to get cheese dip, drinks were wrong, food was cold and not right.

Love the other La Cabanas but not this one.

Food was great. A little more formal than most Mexican restaurants. Wait staff were fantastic, orders were taken and only one issue with a crowd of 12. The issue was a matter of cheese sauce and they quickly appeared with the correction. The layout of the building is unusual, but they have plenty of tables.

Dietary restrictions: They can serve meats and veggies without seasoning and they offer corn tortillas instead of flour.

I’d give zero stars if possible. Don’t order online. They’ll take your money and then refuse to give you your order. They will say, “you have to go to the Monroe location or maybe the Watkinsville location.”

My wife and I genuinely like this place. It's one of our preferred mexican restaurants in the Athens area. However, they I cannot give them five stars because their margarita prices have become ludicrously expensive, and they are not insanely good.

Not a big fan of this location. Everytime we come something is off. Food is ok. Service was lacking but seemed to have gotten better when the owner showed up.

Terrible service. 3 simple takeout orders I had to wait 30 minutes..

The food was good the service was really slow for some reason and it was not busy. I also had a hard time enjoying my food due to the flies.

Choose your own adventure. It seems like each time we visit our experience just doesn't go real smooth. Tonight it was bringing out the wrong order, forgetting drinks and then disappearing, and ice cold refried beans. I love the proximity to my home. Otherwise I'll give the guys a little break before we return.
