I had a pastry from the display case, the Cuban nachos, and a Cubano to go.
The pastry was fantastic—perfectly flaky and filled with a unique cream cheese and pumpkin mixture. It definitely deserves 4 or 5 stars on its own and pretty much carried the food back to 3 stars
The Cuban nachos were decent, but the toppings were quite soupy. I ended up using crushed mariquitas to help thicken it up.
Unfortunately, the Cubano didn’t meet my expectations. It felt more like a hot ham and cheese sandwich with only the shredded pork standing out.
Overall, while there were some highlights, I was left hoping for a bit more from the Cubano

I love this place. I visit every time I'm in Warner Robins. The food is delicious. The staff is friendly. It's just amazing
Went buy to get food for the family for dinner. I got a sandwich and fries for myself. I know left over, stored in the fridge, then microwaved reheated fries.....disappointed. The food is usually real good eat there fairly often. This is just BS.

On August 15, 2024, I went into Cuban Island Cafe and ordered two dinner orders instead of the lunch special, you get a choice. I knew that it would cost more but I did not care, I know I’m getting quality food. So, when my food arrived, I noticed the portions were the same as if I had ordered the lunch special. I know this because I have been eating here for a long time. I’ve been coming to this restaurant for the past 10-15 years if not longer, even when I was in uniform. I was a customer when it was called Emilio’s. Well, the owner was reluctant to oblige but did. He did but grudgingly….I didn’t like that. I had told the manager, I would never come back. That’s not true, I will only because as stated above, I really appreciate quality food. It’s a rarity in this day and time. I won’t ever order from the dinner menu again at lunch. The only reason I did was because I was headed home for the day and did not want to cook dinner tonight. Regardless, maybe don’t have the dinner menu as an option at lunchtime if you are not going to honor it. Sir, that was wrong.
