On August 15, 2024, I went into Cuban Island Cafe and ordered two dinner orders instead of the lunch special, you get a choice. I knew that it would cost more but I did not care, I know I’m getting quality food. So, when my food arrived, I noticed the portions were the same as if I had ordered the lunch special. I know this because I have been eating here for a long time. I’ve been coming to this restaurant for the past 10-15 years if not longer, even when I was in uniform....
Food is always amazing! I came in for lunch today and the food came out quickly and it was delicious! The beef empanadas are a family favorite and we usually order 20 to 30 for gatherings!

The pastry was fantastic—perfectly flaky and filled with a unique cream cheese and pumpkin mixture. It definitely deserves 4 or 5 stars on its own and pretty much carried the food back to 3 stars
