This is one place where you get what you pay for. You can go back to Cotton Calf over and over again and the food and experice and the service will always be top notch. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

Such a WONDERFUL experience! We decided to go to Chateau Elan and wanted a restaurant that was in the area since we decided to stay the night this time on the property. Finding this local eatery was a GEM! We were told that it might be hard to get in but we came early and was able to get a seat at the bar! Front door parking (and other parking behind too if you need it).We ordered the Crab Cakes (a bit pricey but we'll worth it considering it is 90% lump), the seafood tower( Oysters,Giant Prawns, Lobster Claw Meat, Lump Crab, you can choose 3 or 4 items, the Chilean Sea Bass( cooked perfectly) and Potatoes, oh and the GUMBEAUX, was really good, the first okra they put on top, I should've ordered on the side. We did order the Lamb Chops but there was a temperature issue, but it was fixed immediately. We weren't expecting the Manager April to stop by to Apologize for a couple of mishaps, but the experience was so good that we didn't even care. This waitress Montine stopped by when we first got I and was offering suggestions, she even stopped by later to see how we enjoyed it. Such a bubbly personality! Nicole I think Manager too behind the bar with Riley.... THE BEST SERVICE ! She heard her name and she was on it!A patron dropped some money in the bathroom, another patron brought it to a Manager who brought it to the patron they thought! Just good wholesome honest homegrown restaurant.Drinks were good, I wanted a Hot Chocolate with Baileys with the cheesecake (1 of 8 dessert options) , it was GREAT! NO AUTOMATIC GRATUITY, no paid parking! BEST TO MAKE A RESERVATION But the best food and service ever! They took ownership of mistakes and made it right even in a packed out house! Definitely be back there! Willing to drive 2 hours just to! Tab was $300 for all our drinks, and foodVegetarian options: Tons of veggiesKid-friendliness: They let kids sit at bar

We went 2 years ago, we only came back for the Chilean Sea Bass. This time was over cooked and oily, small portion for what they charge. Steak was ok.. Don’t think we will come back again. Nice restaurant. Atmosphere ok, no music.

Went here for our 15th anniversary and have to say I wasn't disappointed despite the expense. We both got the dry aged ribeye and had 2 shareable sides of potatoes lyonnaise and roasted brussel sprouts with parmesan cream sauce. I found everything was seasoned perfectly and the steak was the best I've ever had. I'm not a huge fan of brussel sprouts, but the parmesan cream sauce had me loving them. They even gave us a small slice of cheesecake for dessert since it was our anniversary and it was delicious. We both got sweet tea and my wife got a Sangria that she loved. The atmosphere was cozy and nice for a special date. The decor was nice, but not overly fancy as the building is an old converted historic building. The outside of the building and the restaurant name doesn't give you an accurate picture of the inside amenities or the fine dining experience contained within. We got a kick out of the couch seat booths with cowhide covers, but hey, it's called the Cotton Calf. We might get some cake next time, it looked delicious when the couple next to us got a slice about 6" high appeared to be a full quarter of the cake. We will definitely be back for other special occasions!

My husband and I were visiting Chateau Elan to celebrate my birthday and decided to give this highly-rated, off-resort restaurant a try. Our experience was opposite of so many of these reviews! We ordered the bacon appetizer, Delmonico steak, Wagyu hanger steak, mac and cheese, Brussel sprouts, and mushroom risotto. The bacon and risotto were pretty good. The steaks were cooked to temperature, nicely charred on the outside but FLAVORLESS! At these prices, I had very high expectations and I was sorely disappointed. The Brussel sprouts and mac and cheese were also not well-seasoned and undercooked. The Brussel sprouts were swimming in a thin parmesan sauce that added nothing to them, and I have never had such cheesy yet tasteless mac and cheese!Dessert was by far the highlight of the entire meal. I had the creme brulee cheesecake as my complimentary birthday dessert, and my husband had the bread pudding. Both of these were delicious. Our dinner was a bit late (reservation at 8:30; food arrived after 9:30) so maybe the kitchen was just not on their A-game so late in the evening. Our server was pleasant, kept our drinks filled, and comped a couple of items when we mentioned our disappointment. A manager also stopped by our table for quick feedback on our meal. For the excellent service, I am adding an additional star.

We would highly recommend Cotton Cow to anyone on the Braselton, Ga area. The service was top notch, the open kitchen was awesome to watch everyone working in their own stations and the food was impeccable and the best bacon wrapped scallops we have ever tasted! The bacon app was also amazing and the filet with the seasoned crust on the outside was incredible. The desserts were also delicious (black out molten with ice cream and the Creme Brûlée were fantastic. We will definitely visit again when in the area!

OMG it's so good. It was our 44th wedding anniversary and I wanted to take my bride somewhere special for dinner and was not disappointed. I tried the herb season chicken and it was fantastic bride had the pork chop which was really good. We normally have the filet but don't regret trying something different this time. The atmosphere is always nice and our server Montine was great. We didn't go lacking anything. Portions are large and shareable. Come hungry!

This was the one of best experience I've had at a restaurant. Daija was our waitress and she was phenomenal!! It was my birthday and me and my husband were staying at Chateau Elan . We didn't want to eat there so we decided to go to Cotton Calf. I had the Kobe steak which was AMAZING! My husband had the pork chop meal and he loved it . Visit this restaurant and ask to be seated in Daija's section I promise you won't disappointed!!

Steak was good but over priced. Appetizer was the fried green tomatoes got 3 slices of tomato covered in tomato chutney that was really just tomato sauce for 22 dollars. The sides are all around 20 dollars each and they might as well be considered as an entree for the amount of food you get. Wish my server would have warned me before my wife and I ordered 4 sides that could feed 8 people. Personally I wouldn't go bavk but to each their own
