There was a small group from our neighborhood that met here for lunch.The waitress was A-OK, with a pleasant demeanor and solid knowledge of the full menu and bar choices.The food with the exception of the less than crisp and hot French Fries met with general approval.An issue arose when the checks came and everyone was asking the collective question of, "What and why is there a 5% 'VENUE FEE" on every check."What venue? There was no band, no entertainment not sporting event.Turns out, there is no venue, it is just a misleading identification about charges should you use a credit card. This is a "JUNK FEE!" on credit card use at the restaurant.If they add a venue fee on nights they have live music, I have no problem, but this is IMO flat out wrong.Accepting credit cards, opens up an entire spectrum of business and patrons that dramatically increases the restaurants revenue stream while providing a customer convenience.For everyone who chose not get fleeced with this bogus charge it meant the checks delivered with the "venue fee" had to be rerun, and redelivered to the table, requiring time that would be better utilized actually waiting and serving customer needs, as opposed to the owners just picking your pocket.Offering a cash discount is acceptable, but charging penalties to patrons that are spending money at your establishment is short sighted and a slap in the face.

Worst place ever! 2 visits in 1, my first and last. We arrived just before 9pm on a Friday night, place was pretty dead aside from 1 or 2 tables and maybe 8 bar guests and ourselves, a couple. The little brunette was running around like a chicken with its head cut off busy working so we were patient as we waited about 10 minutes for a drink. I ordered a house vodka and sugar free redbull, my friend ordered a beer(bottled). We sat there for another 30 minutes watching as the blonde stood there with her arms crossed playing on her phone while the little brunette was stocking and doing everything. The blonde never even came within 10 feet of us! We sat there starving just waiting on someone to come take our order. After 30 minutes of being invisible, not even being able to get our check so we can go somewhere else that will actually serve us, I wrote a note as I keep a pad and pen in my purse. The note says as follows.. Moonshiners bartendersYou took my card and made us a drink, but since you wouldn't come back we decided to go somewhere else. Cash me out, NO TIP! Thanks! Then signed my name. We walked out of the door at 9:43 pm. They took out $50 out of my account the second they put my card on file before even ordering a drink. Well folks just got the total of my bill! I don't know what they put on my bill or how much of a tip they added but when did a well vodka drink and a bottle of beer cost $18.92? We left there went to Hits tap room. We got basically an appetizer, 2 entrees, and 2 drinks, the same drinks we had at moonshiners and the bill was like $55 total! Why was I charged $20 here for 2 drinks? Needless to say, as soon as the place opens and I can speak to the manager/owner, I have a few things to say! I took a picture of the note as well as a picture of the note with my glass on the bar! I didn't walk out! I couldn't get service or even a check to pay! So any charges added, aside from the drinks, is theft and I intend on pressing charges against the bartenders and establishment!DO NOT GO HERE!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!I was in the industry for 23 years, 10 of those years was spent as a bartender! There was no excuse for the laziness and lack of service!

Great place to grab a drink and shoot pool. Bar with stage and dance floor on one side, and several nice pool tables on the other. Tasty and varied menu. Excellent service.

Our regular lunch spot was closed so decided to give Moonshiners a try and sure glad we did. Awesome lunch specials and very friendly service. Great spot close to Road Atlanta.
